Bicycle Games - Canasta

Ages 12+ 2 - 6 Players 45 Min The game of Canasta is said to have originated in Montevideo, Uruguay, around 1940. From there it spread to Argentina, the USA and throughout the world. It was extremely fashionable in the 1950's, threatening for a while to displace Contract Bridge as the premier card game. The rules were standardized in North America around 1950 and it was this version of the game that gained worldwide popularity. In many countries, Canasta is still played in more or less its original form, sometimes alongside a number of variations. In North America, however, the game of Canasta has continued to develop, and the version now favored by many American players, called Modern American Canasta, is very different from the classic game. Canasta is generally agreed to be best for four players, playing in partnerships. However, there are playable versions for two, three or six players.

Bicycle canasta cards

Cards are super slippery making them easy to shuffle and deal. Point on the face of cards makes it easier to score

Canasta Game set
22 February 2019

Did not like that the game was not complete. The plastic revolving card holders were not included when shipped. The photo description of the product showed that the tray was included with set. It was not. I commented on this and I still have not receiver the complete set as shown in the description.

Good quality for a great price

These cards are the great "Bicycle" quality you would expect from this company. We bought Canasta cards before and they were the cheap cardboard feel. These are awesome and it was a great price!!

Review for canasta cards:

The cards were given as a gift and were use right away. Love the fact that they have the points of worth for each card printed on the face of the card. A good quality playing card.
