This pad is exactly what I was looking for. Light and comfy enough for 3 season and extra insulation for my wife in winter. This is my first rolled closed cell pad. Had a little trouble keeping the pad from rolling up under my feet, but got a bit better with use.

This pad is exactly what I was looking for. Light and comfy enough for 3 season and extra insulation for my wife in winter. This is my first rolled closed cell pad. Had a little trouble keeping the pad from rolling up under my feet, but got a bit better with use.
The extra insulation added by this sleeping pad adds a few degrees of warmth in spring and fall conditions making front country and backcountry camping all the more bearable.
This mat is great.... I swear I won't sleep without it..... probably not going to last you a lifetime because of what its made from but in the mean time its the best mat out....
This matt is lightweight, no weird smell out of the box, and is very comfortable on its own for fall season Northern California camping! It got squished in the car and regained its shape in no time.
Love the fact that it is made of sugar cane. I've only tried this at home but planning to use for winter backpacking as insolation under inflatable sleeping pad. It is very light weight and comfortable, no rubbery/plastic noise during sleep like the "z" shaped foam pads. I can lay it on the floor, put two blankets on it and sleep well. But for people who don't usually sleep on floor, there may not be enough cushioning.
I could really care less what this pad is made of but rather how many nights will it endure. BA should wake up and start making products that last instead of saving the world
I have had many closed cell mats in my travels I still carry a Nemo-Switchback and Therm-a-rest-Z Lite which work beyond great. I bought this 60% Sugar Cane Twistercane mat hoping it would be amazing since it's a Big Agnes Product. I was beyond wrong. Not only is it beyond uncomfortable it also slides around in my tent making me feel like I'm sleeping in a Slip N Slide.
We bought this for added insulation under our Big Agnes inflatable sleeping pad. Works great for warmth and added cushion for a great nights sleep! Love ot, highly recommend!
I had questioned if this pad would be enough to get a good nights sleep on so I took along another pad just in case. I never need it. The Big Agnes cane pad was a home run. It gave me very good support and keep the cold for seeping in from the bottom. All I had under it was the tents floor. I would buy it again. Heck I am 75 if it works for me it should work for any back packer looking to go light.
