We have had an issue with maggots for the last 4 weeks. After trying home remedies such as vinegar, boiling water, cleaning out bin thoroughly after last pick-up, they came back. I bought this product yesterday and put it in the wheelie bin. Early this morning we had more maggots than ever before, crawling on the whole driveway towards the house. I poured more vinegar & salt on them to at least control it, till the emergency pest control comes today.

I don’t get maggots every week but they tend to show up ever few weeks. I put the bin kill in last week and all seamed to be good but I have just opened my bin this morning and before I even opened it I could already see maggots everywhere. Extremely disappointed as it 100% doesn’t work :(
Put one in check next morning flies happily buzzing around the bin. I had bought 3 so put all 3 in check next morning and guess what. Flies happily buzzing around bin.
I find this product works for 6-10 months. Exceptional
Excellent product that keeps the flies away and therefore no maggots. Less cleaning using this product. Would highly recommend to keep flies and maggots out of your wheelie bin.
I don’t know what has changed but last summer and this summer the product has only worked for about 3 weeks. Seeing a bin full of maggots this morning was not good. Your product used to be reliable.
I've used these for a few years and keep buying them because they work really well. You do need to ensure each time the bin is emptied that you make sure that it's hanging INSIDE the bin again, because it does get flipped over to the outside when emptied. Once I see maggots starting to bred in there again, I change it to a fresh one, usually in 2 or 3 months time. It's a bit expensive for one little plastic gadget, but for me it's essential, because I hate breeding flies in the rubbish bin.
Bought yesterday after we discovered a mammoth maggot infestation in our bin. Tried the natural methods first with no success.Opened our bin this morning and all maggots are dead!Works as it described
