Before I go into the wonders of this incredible dryer, let me first tell you about the dryer that proceeded this one. I originally purchased the Elchim 3900 ($199). In truth it was never better than my cheap conair. The elchim left my hair dry & course no matter what product I used. I was resigned to the fact that no dryer would make a difference, so I kept it. 6 months into daily use of the elchim, it started making rattling noises in the motor. I had saved the box & receipt & fortunately, the incredibly accommodating Ulta, allowed me to return it. I had a Bio Ionic dryer that lasted me over 6 years so it wasn't a question if I'd buy the same brand again. This version is even better! It's light weight, quieter & has a better look. It comes w/ 2 styling attachments, 1 larger than the other, I personally don't use them much, it dries great without them. I personally grabbed this during a great sale. I have long hair to mid back, it's fine but I have a lot of hair. From start to finish I dry my hair in about 8 minutes & that includes stopping to use my curling brush on bangs & to brush hair. Give it a try!

I can't really say anything bad about this dryer other than the fact that it's expensive. I have only had an old conair dryer my whole life. I was pretty or convinced that all dryers essentially did the same thing but decided I should try to better my hair and I'm glad I did because this was so much better! It actually doesn't have a lot of heat but still dries my hair faster then the other ever did! Afterwards my hair was straight and smooth. It's not too heavy but feels luxe. I have fine, easily damaged hair and this is perfect for me. But if you have thick hair this might not be the best.

Well when Ulta put this dryer on a 50% off sale for 1 day I decided I would find out! Turns out there is a difference! I have naturally curly hair and diffuse it part way to reduce the overall time to air dry it without damaging it. This dryer does a much better job than my old one drying my curls a bit faster. The air flow just seems more "full" when my hair is contained in my Black Orchid diffuser. It sets my curls well, the heat is even, I only use low heat and speed and the cool shot. My hairdresser uses the next step up of this brand so I decided to splurge on this one. Unfortunately I found that this hair dryer tangled my hair like crazy. I have processed, dry, thinner blonde hair and this just did not give me the results I wanted, particularly at this price point. I found that my cheap conair actually does a better job than this did. I also found that it took much longer to dry my hair with this and when I was done my hair looked more frazzled and frizzy than usual. I was hoping that this would be the holy grail for me, but unfortunately it just didn't do the trick. Thank goodness for Ulta's amazing return policy. Now it is back to the drawing board for me.

A few months ago, I tried out a new salon to get my roots fixed and the stylist forgot about me under a hot dryer with bleach in my hair. PROS:- lightweight.- drys long, fine hair without damage. My hair is dense (a lot of hair), so the I have issues with the outside over-drying while the inner hairs remain damp. It doesn't seem like it's blowing hot enough to dry my hair, but this dryer does it's job really quickly, really well.- No flyaway frizz.- Low noise compared to my old hair dryer. This one doesn't blow as hard as its predecessor, but then again, it drys my hair without burning it.CONS:- None at this time.I'm really happy with this dryer. Worth it!

This dryer is really small and lightweight with a 9 foot power cord (that doesn't swivel), and it makes less noise than other dryers I've used, but the praise stops there.
