very poor attitude from delivery guy. I was just grabbing my key and the guy just put the whole box on the floor then went off. grabbing my key is only a few second. \nthe items are all overturned causing the oil to sink into the peanut which I need to our away the oil at the top layer.

Nice beans. Our cupboard staple and also stockpile staple. ( We built our stockpile gradually over a couple of years. For example, start with 4 tins. When you use one, restock with two. Do it with other types of food as well. Tinned tomatoes, pasta, rice, olives, oil, etc. Within a year, you'll have a decent stockpile.) All the Biona tinned products are BPA free (at least that's what they say on their website) --- peace of mind for those who care, yes? :-)

Tried these for the first time and made vegetarian chilli, using half jar alongside pea protein, Mr Organic tomato paste, garlic, onion, chilli flakes. Very enjoyable and re-ordering. The half jar I did not use just popped into freezer ready for next time. Full of vitamins so glad to have found, thanks Ocado for stocking organic.

As expected from Biona, these organic beans are outstanding! They have a gorgeous earthy, nutty flavour and perfect firm yet soft texture which they retain throughout cooking - the depth of flavour and texture is exquisite. I love that they are organic and in a glass jar. Glorious in vegan curries, stir fry, risotto and pasta. They also make delicious vegan Shepherdess Pie flavoured with a little organic cinnamon. I just wish they didn't contain salt.
I add these to every order as I like to keep my pantry topped up. Our favourite way to eat them is in a vegan black bean & sweet potato chilli with wild rice. Perfect texture, holds up to additional cooking, good flavour & of course a bonus that they're organic.
Blackeye beans have a wonderful distinctive flavour and nothing compares to them. There are lots of recipes for them. I like them cooked with brown rice (wholegrain carb) and turmeric (anti-inflammatory) and served with pan cooked lamb kebabs (remember to drain the fat), and a leaf salad topped with ripe sliced tomatoes, chopped parsley, and drizzled with olive oil and apple cider vinegar. Simple, but delicious.
Delicious and nutritious. Excellent added to soups and stews and in extreme situations even eaten cold straight from the tin! For a one pot meal mix with frozen veg, heat and eat!!
Just discovered these. They are delicious. Can heat up for lunch with some sourdough bread and yo have a very quick and healthy meal! No emulsifiers and nasties
great black beans, and i dont like beans. for a great recipe using these, check out the doctors kitchen "Spicy Baked Honey and Tomato Aubergine with Black Beans" recipe, google that you'll find it - amazing.
