So I’ve used Biossance Squalene + Probiotic Gel Moisturizer lately and I grabbed this one by accident. Being since Biossance overall has been great to my skin I said let’s give it a try. I usually prefer in this order Guerlain Moisturizer Tatch Water Cream Farmacy Honey Halo Ceramide Face Cream Belief Aqua Bomb Biossance Squalene Probiotic Gel Cream Biossance I consider my budget face care as Tatcha is great but there aren’t any “amazing” effects to use it 24/7 365. Anyway back to this Biossance Omega Repair Cream. SMELL!!!!! It took me quite awhile to pinpoint the smell. It’s VERY off putting. It does moisturize. It lasts a long while. TLDR; Smells like Miracle Whip and feels like it. Stick with the Probiotic Gel from Biossance instead of this Omega Repair Cream. Is it terrible? No, but I wouldn’t buy it again. The smell itself is just too much to handle. You’ll thank me later even though your wallet might not.

I just love everything about this product. It's so luxurious and so moisturizing, and it's the best moisturizer I've ever tried. Here are pros: - It's cruelty-free, and I love that this company paved the way for plant-based squalane. It seems like my face really likes squalane, which I think is really great and is something I feel happy putting my money behind. - It's so creamy and pleasant to apply. - It doesn't sting my skin at all, even when it's super sensitized. - It doesn't cause rosacea or acne flair ups on my face, which is a rare occurrence for me. - It's fragrance-free, which is also really important to me! - It's moisturizing feel lasts all day for me, but it doesn't make me feel greasy. This doesn't really have any significant cons, but here are some ... MoreI just love everything about this product. Great moisturiser… can’t get past the smell! This product for me is 5* in terms of the consistency and ingredient list, and my skin loves it. It’s rich and nourishing without being greasy and leaves a juicy plump feel. The cream takes a while to soak in which I personally love in a night cream, I don’t like a matte feel or something that immediately disappears since I like the feeling that it’s taking it’s time to work and ‘feed’ your skin. I can use a tiny bit of this in the morning too underneath a slightly matte sunscreen. Sometimes rich creams can cause me to break out with just one or two small spots but this doesn’t. The thing I just can’t get past and the reason I won’t re-purchase is the awful smell. I can’t think of anything closer to compare it to!. It ... MoreGreat moisturiser… can’t get past the smell! Like some others I strongly pick up feet - I can’t think of anything closer to compare it to! I prefer non-fragranced products but this is the worst smelling ‘natural’ cream I’ve used. It dissipates quickly but for a mid-price item that otherwise has a luxe feel this sadly ruins the experience for me. I can’t finish this tub as a result.
I typically use (and have been happy) with cerave and cetaphil moisturizers at night, but they have never played very well with my makeup; I have tried various moisturizers for daytime and this was just “next” on my list to try. Yes, it smells like an aged soft cheese however, the smell dissipates quickly. I cannot smell it once I have blended the moisturizer completely into my skin. Initially I was very very nervous, my skin ATE this up. For about a week it seemed like my skin was a just sucking it up and I was watching a very quick demise of a very expensive product. I was not happy, but after several days my skin sort of balanced and I had to use a bit less. It was an interesting development; the temperature here has been consistently cold with no humidity to speak of, so I know my skin is the affecting variable.I don’t know yet if it is worth the money, but it plays nice with my expensive layering products and my skin seems to like it. While it is not as occlusive as I like for my night moisturizer, I will continue to use it for a good makeup base; it leaves my skin just slightly tacky enough to make my tinted moisturizer glide over the top perfectly.
Yall had me prepared for some massive stank…it absolutely DOES NOT smell that bad. It smells natural and slightly musky/dampish and dissipates in about 30 seconds. I prefer my facial products to have their natural scent and not be heavily artificially fragranced, so this product is a win in that regard and I’m happy I took a chance!! As far as performance, this stuff is AMAZING!!! I have really dry 40 year old skin and use retinols and acids (on opposite nights) and I need daily hydration, especially during dry Midwest winters, but I hate the way deep moisture creams feel on my face. I can’t stand that slimy suffocated feeling. Makes me cringe. I saw in a previous review that this cream worked for someone with sensory issues and they were right! I am really happy ... Never have I got so many complements on my skin! I’ve tried many moisturizers within the price range of biossance, and this one stands out for several reasons: you only need a small amount (helps justify cost), it’s very moisturizing for my very dry skin, it leaves this smooth/shiny appearance that doesn’t fade; it looks amazing under a tinted sunscreen, and sets in really well. I noticed people saying it smells like feet, fish, bad, etc. It is an algae product; I would say it has an oceanesque smell, but it fades right away. I personally don’t mind it, and prefer it over fragrant smells. I got the smallest size as a points reward before purchasing the full size, so maybe wait for that if you aren’t sure about the full size.Don’t buy this product if: you like ... A Sephora employee recommended this when I told her I was a little disillusioned with Drunk Elephant's polypedtide cream after having used it over a year. I was skeptical, but I actually really like this repair cream for its super moisturizing ability (and isn't greasy!). The first time wearing it, I got compliments on my skin. In the reviews here people have noted the smell. They're not wrong -- there is an initial whiff that's unpleasant when you first apply. It smells like Maker's Mark bourbon whiskey, which I always thought smelled like feet. It could be the shea butter. The scent goes away fast, though. This product actually has ten main ingredients in common with Augustinus Bader's "The Cream" (also smells like Maker's Mark) and for that reason alone I know ... Augustinus Bader products are the best there are, but $230 for 50mL of moisturizer isn't in reach for me. This is a good alternative. 4 stars because I probably will keep shopping around after I run out, but it think this is a great product for the price.
SKIN TYPE: Combination/Sensitive. Eczema/Rosacea/Acne prone skin, also prone to dehydration and occasional dry patches due to eczema. TEXTURE: When I began using this moisturiser a couple years ago, I worried it would be too thick/heavy as it felt different to many other moisturisers I’d used in the past. But although it’s thick in texture, it provides a soothing blanketing veil of nourishment without being greasy or heavy once absorbed. It has a protective like quality, with a velvet/sued like finish which I enjoy as I prefer to *feel* moisturiser on my face - not sticky or greasy, just perfectly plump and smooth. BENEFITS: It doesn’t block my pores or cause breakouts which is number one priority for me, due to previously doing two rounds of roaccutane. I feel an instant sigh of relief when I apply this moisturiser as it’s always soothing, even when I’m facing any type of irritation/inflammation due my skin conditions. I use it morning and night, along with all my actives as it complements everything nicely. In the evenings I follow with a few drops of the “Biossance 100% Squalane Oil” to seal everything in and every morning my skin is still soft and quenched. THOUGHTS: Since my skin throws a bit of everything at me at different times, I struggle finding moisturisers that tick all the boxes I need them to - but this moisturiser does just that and it’s the only one I’ve repurchased time and time again. It keeps my skin happy and it’s contributed to less irritated flare ups of my skin conditions. It’s a trusty, reliable workhorse that I feel could work for many different skin types and concerns!

I’ve actually ditched all of the many other potions and lotions I was juggling to keep my skin on track.Having combination skin that is ultimately now very dry but that gets pores blocked and flares up easily if I use anything too oily or greasy, I never thought I’d find just one product that would be able to be used every day.It has plumped up my skin and begun to save my dried up old prune face and transform it back into a soft and supple texture with bounce and a healthy glow. Can’t recommend it enough to those over 40 especially, as you can only maintain the age your skin is at in reality, you cannot reverse time no matter what one is sold. However, with this little miracle one can revitalise what one has and maintain a well balanced skin tone and plump up those tell tale lines that give you a feeling of encroaching drooping! Ha ha haI would advise anyone who has the contradictory state of dry skin that can get blocked pores easily and cause spots to form, to try this as it’s so lightweight on the skin, not leaving it feeling greasy, but as supple as before your birthday happened..It’s lightweight but a heavyweight in its class!!
