I have been wearing Birkenstock’s for 30 years and I swear by them. I have had countless pairs and styles, but one style that I’ve always had is the Arizona. It may not be the most feminine, but it is the OG/iconic style and SO very comfortable. It molds to your foot and will honestly become your favorite pair of shoes and this is coming from a girl who LOVES her Louboutin’s, Row’s, Manolo’s, Bottega Veneta’s, etc. They are very good for people who have foot problems or experience foot pain too. The soft bed is relatively new compared to how long the brand has been around and only available in this style and the Boston’s (the covered mules). Beautiful but big!

The sandal looks fantastic and feels solid, without being too heavy. The leather looks great and true to the photography colour. I think they will look even better broken in a little bit (and then a lot). I'm sure these sandals will last a long time.The first pair I ordered, however, are way too big. I understood these ran large, so sized down one (based on the provided American sizing), and the pair is still probably two sizes too large. I recommend purchasers unfamiliar with Birkenstock sizing to look at the measurements rather than size.

Birkenstocks won me over

Although I have heard how comfy these shoes were, I've never liked the look before, especially these, until I saw them on someone shopping at the store and realized how cute they actually looked!I bought these for myself and loved them so much that I bought a pair for my son. Great shoe! Just give them a couple of weeks to break in! You will not regret your purchase!I bought a pair last year for my two daughters and they loved them! Just today, one daughter's dog must've also loved them, he chomped them all up! She was NOT happy to say the least!

Excellent service and even better price!

Brilliant service! Better than any other store selling this product. Not to mention the price difference! I went to purchase these at Glue Store then tried Universal then Platypus - price was $40 more and there was no stock available (thank goodness) and not one person helped find a pair in another store! Went straight to Anaconda to purchase other items and saw the Birkenstock's were sold there! I was wrapped! They were not in the size I needed but guess what - the assistant searched to find a store who had them in stock! Customer service 101 - thank you Anaconda!

First Birkenstocks and They Did Not Disappoint

I ordered these in the Habana Oiled Leather to try Birkenstock shoes for the first time and they are absolutely lovely. I ordered two more pairs for family members, one in the same color and another in the Black Oiled Leather, who also enjoy them as their first pair of Birkenstocks. They took about 3 days of constant wear to break in, which was slightly painful for the first day, then after they feel very comfortable and molded to my foot shape. I am always between a US 5.5-6 for shoes, usually going to size 6 for running shoes, sneakers, and going to size 5.5 for flats. These style of sandals are unisex, so when Nordstrom sells it as Women's version, that refers to Birkenstock's narrow width. The narrow width in the unisex styles are considered to be closer to the average width of women shoes, so it is recommended to order in the narrow width of these shoes on the Birkenstock website. Nordstrom takes that into account in calling Birkenstock's narrow width as women's medium.

Should have ordered my regular size

After reading several reviews, I went down a size. I am a 9 wide (40) and my toes seem to be a little on the shorter side. I have 2 pairs of the plastic Gizeh-style Birkenstocks and they do seem a tad large, so I figured I'd try the 39's. Unfortunately, they just barely fit. My short toes went right to the very end. Returning for the larger size.I've never owned a pair of leather Birkenstocks, but I'm excited to wear what I know will be good for my feet. I suffer terribly from Plantar Fasciitis. The plastic Birkenstocks have been the only thing that gave me relief. Since I can't wear socks with the Gizeh style I have, I need something I can wear around the house during the colder months to keep my Plantar Fasciitis in check. I can't wait to receive the larger size.

Super Comfy!

Using these as my house slippers. The previous ones I had (also Birks) disintegrated after many years of use. I was so happy with them that I decided to get Birks again.The sippers are unmatched in quality (made in Germany, duh!) and are super comfortable. Note that there's about a week long break-in period and they will not feel great at first, so just be cognizant of that. One week later and they fit like a glove. Make sure you use the size chart provided on the Birkenstock website and actually take the time to measure your feet properly - it'll go a long way in making sure you'll be satisfied with them for many years to come.

These are narrow, not medium/regular width

These are not medium/regular-width Birkenstocks. They are narrow-fit, and the shoebox clearly states this. It was very disappointing to open the package to find that these shoes were not as described. Speaking of opening the package (with fair warning that this is where things get weird) the inside of the bag in which I received these shoes reeked of perfume. Not a slight hint of fragrance as if someone had just applied it and let their wrist brush against the box. It was more like someone either spilled perfume or purposely sprayed it into the bag. These shoes are going straight back, with the bag sealed up very tightly. Very comfy straight away

I was a little worried that these sandles wouldn’t be comfortable initially and would require wearing in but due to the softer foot bed they are. I’m a size 6.5-7 UK and the size 40 seems to fit just about right. The suede is lovely and soft and having had a pair of the more traditional ones years ago, I much prefer this pair for both the suede feel and the softer foot bed. I would recommend but get the right size by checking out videos on how to size them properly. Also to note womens Birkenstocks always come in narrow fitting apparently (noted by the N next to the size number) and the mens/unisex version comes in regular width. If you have a wider foot I would go for the mens/unisex version otherwise you will struggle to find them fitting properly

Watch the sizing carefully

I've been a Birkenstock customer since they first came to the U.S. market. Mid to late '60s? Obviously, I am a big fan. The pair I just purchased is well made, high quality and two sizes too big for me!The old pair I am replacing is a woman's size 7. So, I ordered the same. When I opened the box the sandals looked gigantic. Double checking the box. Yes Women's 7. Okay.. Sliding them on (with clean white socks on) my feet were swimming!The box lid has a foot size chat. Using that, still in socks, it shows a woman's size 5.So yes, sending back for exchange. No matter, I still adamantly recommend the leather Birkenstocks. Just beware of the sizing.
