These are amazing. My first time buying them and since I have a slightly narrow foot, had to return and get the next size down. As always with Nordstrom, easy returns and I couldn’t be happier with my new Birks. I absolutely love them!The black oiled suede color is really nice. Totally recommend these!

First Birkenstock. Shoe box arrives crushed and torn. Looked to be a return item. Shoes not worn but has a little stain on the heal area. It could be from the oil stain residue. Overall the shoe is comfy and the right size for me. I ordered wide.
I've been wanting to try a pair of Birkenstock's for sometime. Normally, I am a size "7". At REI, I tried both size 37 and 38. The 38 felt too big and I was in the last notch of the buckle. I opted for the size 37. After wearing them around the house for a couple days, they feel too snug in the footbed. They will go back. I think that I'm between sizes and they are just not going to work for me.
Been wearing them for 2 weeks now and still very painful. Not sure the hype about that brand. On top of that, it starts ungluing on the side of the sandal, between the strap and the sole. Bought a size following recommendation from the brand but turns out, as the leather gets softer, they are becoming too large. So basically, I paid big price and now stuck with a defective and loo large sandals.
The description claims “The Arizona features an A-B width, which is the more narrow last from Birkenstock, but is equivalent to a regular width by industry standards.”This is simply not true. The Arizona normally comes in the “wide” Birkenstock width; narrow is *not* the default.Their statement, which proposes the narrow as the new default, only adds to the tall skinny athletic outdoor woman stereotype of the outdoor industry. This is disappointing. I’m quite close to the outdoor athletic climber stereotype, and I even have average to narrow feet, but this narrow is too narrow.I love REI (I give them soo much $$). The is a mistake that could be easily corrected by properly labeling the item, updating the specs, and removing the inaccurate statement. ... Sad these have to get returned. I’m a huge Birk lover and have 5 pairs. I wanted a new black slide. This new leather is rough and painful. It’s not the old soft leather that doesn’t need much breaking in. I bought a second pair in hopes I just got a bogus pair but they both are stiff and rough so both have to get returned. Bummer but hopefully they change it back to the old style!
The sandals arrived in a completely torn apart box, though the actual sandals appear to be fine. They were a gift for our teenage girl so it's kind of janky to have such a destroyed box - they're all into unboxing videos now (yeah, that's totally silly but whatever). I tried to tape it back together but it was hopeless. for $140 I think it would have been nice to have the item in a new box. If these were a returned item, it would be nice to not have been charged $140.
