I am wearing these sandals as I type. They are so comfortable that I can easily forget that I am wearing them--like being barefoot, but better. I recommend trying on in person the first time you buy Birkenstocks to make sure you're getting the right fit and the right footbed. I have a higher arch, so the soft footbed is a must for me. People, these sandals have been around for over 100 years for a reason and it's not because they're beautiful. I've had many pairs over the years and I think this taupe color is my favorite. I went into buying these thinking they might be overhyped. However, as time has went on (I’ve had these for a month), these have become better and better with every wear. I wish I could wear them all day, everyday but when I’m not at work, I gave them on. They’re not only the most comfortable pair of sandals I’ve ever owned, but they’re the most comfortable pair of shoes I’ve ever owned. I love that they mold to your feet. I do feel sizing is a little different with Birkenstock so I’d suggest trying them on in store before buying them online.

These are authentic Birkenstocks, so they will be exactly how you'd expect if you already have a pair. If you haven't tried birks, they are life changing. The faded khaki color is amazing. It's a nice tan color with a hint of green/grey. The sandals shipped in about 4 days, in the correct size and color, so great overall!My one complaint Is that I wish the website showed European sizes alongside the US sizing. I had a hard time telling what "9M" was in European sizing at first, but a quick customer service call cleared things up. (9M is 42 EU, btw)Thanks Dillards!

I absolutely love the army green color, it’s exactly what I was looking for. However, after having Birks in the past, the straps were just so stiff from what I remember. They are somewhat bothersome after wearing awhile. I’m hoping they soften some with time and wear. The footbed is fine. I reluctantly kept them because of the color, but not for wearing and walking all day like my old ones.
The description claims “The Arizona features an A-B width, which is the more narrow last from Birkenstock, but is equivalent to a regular width by industry standards.”This is simply not true. The Arizona normally comes in the “wide” Birkenstock width; narrow is *not* the default.Their statement, which proposes the narrow as the new default, only adds to the tall skinny athletic outdoor woman stereotype of the outdoor industry. This is disappointing. I’m quite close to the outdoor athletic climber stereotype, and I even have average to narrow feet, but this narrow is too narrow.I love REI (I give them soo much $$). Unfortunately, I will not be able continue this particular transaction with REI by exchanging the narrow fit Birkenstocks for the regular width as REI does not offer them them. REI, why don’t you offer the regular width, why aren’t you catering to a more diverse clientele? C’mon REI. I expect better.

You can’t walk miles in them out of the box. Think of them as the leather boot of the sandal world. You need to break them in with some short wearing sessions before they’re ready for all day wear. The leather needs to break in and the cork needs to conform to your foot. This may seem tedious for sandals but once they’re broken in they are extremely comfortable. Color is fantastic, a brilliant, bright red. However, no matter how much I wear them, they are not molding to my feet. I've had Birks before, but these DO NOT feel like or respond like a soft footbed at all. They are still very hard and stiff after months of wear, so very disappointing in that regard. Also, be ready for all of your socks or tops of your feet to be stained as the dye from the straps transfers color to whatever it comes in contact with :(
These sandals rock. I’ve always had thong sandals and wore rainbows primarily. My girlfriend has always had Birkenstocks but I’ve been hesitant to get a pair myself. Finally after over a year I agreed to give them a try and I wish I had sooner. They take a few days to break in and can be uncomfortable at first. I highly recommend wearing socks until so you don’t get blisters the first few days. Once they have been broken in they are great tho. I will still keep my rainbows simply because these aren’t Waterproof and can get destroyed at the beach but other than that they are my new primary sandal.
These felt really comfortable, but I had to return them. The end of the shoes where you toes go is at a very steep angle. My toes are not arranged that way. If you're like me with long toes, perhaps the second longer than your bigger toe, you'll probably need to pass on this shoe. I normally wear Chacos, and the almond shaped toe looks totally fine with my toes.
Very comfortable; I expect to get many years out of this pair, like I did my last.If you've never worn Birkenstocks, it's possible you might not like them. They're a flat shoe, and they have a ridge behind the toes, ahead of the ball of the foot, and between the big toe and the others. I like that feel very much. Put some Barge cement around the edges of the cork, and they'll last forever. I think (but am not sure) you can even get them resoled.If you've had Birkenstocks before, well, they're Birkenstocks. Exactly what you'd expect.
