The Arizona Birks were my biggest thumbs up purchase for my teen daughter last Christmas. My first thought was oh HECK no! NOT paying over a hundred bucks for a pair of flat sandals! Well, the girl has put more miles on those Birks than I can STAND! She lives and breathes in them and we can't get her OUT of them! And although they show sings of normal wear, they are completely intact and still look great. She wears them even in (Wisconsin) winter, with wool socks. Lol. SOOOoooo, this year's encore were the ARIZONA softbed Birkenstock in black. I'm a believer in their wear and tear. Enough to perhaps buy a pair for me! (Wishing my daughter and I were the same size now! )

From walking around in the shoes, I also determined I would need the "soft" footbed.The leather is thick, so the strap beneath the buckle cut into the top of my foot. I myself own about 6prs of Birks and my son has them as well. He tried on a pr in store and when I saw they were just a bit cheaper on zulily I jumped on it. Exact same style, color, etc but ones that came were narrow fit even though that was not in item description. Paid to have them shipped to me, paid to have them shipped back and now unable to get cash refund for sandals themselves..just zulily credit. Frustrating as know the ones they shipped were not accurately described. Only given website credit so can’t use that money to get real Birks in correct fit.

From the minute I put my feet into the Arizona sandals I felt like they were made for me. They held my feet firmly and they felt both stable and comfortable. So comfortable. There's a lot of debate whether you should buy the original footbed or the soft footbed, but after buying these, I would say go with the softbed. You can wear them immediately and they do mold to your foot. That is so incredible to me. The good news is no family member can borrow them. So in fashion right now, and the navy goes with everything. I love them.
Love this pair of Birks … the metallic color is awesome. The only issue I have is there was a slight scratch by the buckle on one of the shoes…decided not to exchange them but can’t give a 5-star rating. As with other pairs of Birkenstocks there is definitely a break-in period but after that, super comfortable.
Purchased for my husband as a Christmas gift, his previous pair lasted years and he refused to let them go because of the support and comfort these provide.He can walk in these all day. Highly recommended.
I was expecting these to have flat footbeds, but there's a 'hill' around where the front of your arch is, to provide support. That's fine, but I usually wear flat-sole shoes so these are actually kind of painful to be in for long periods of time. I'm hoping they'll break in a bit more. I have noticed they improve my posture a bit, so that's nice.Overall I was thinking of these primarily as "relaxing" shoes, would probably not be very happy if I needed to wear them for multiple days of prolonged walking.The straps are a bit loose even on the tightest setting... I might put an extra hole in to try and fix that.There was some weird glue on the buckle and part of the shoe. I almost returned them because of that, but I was able to claw it off after a few minutes.
I wore Birkenstocks as a teenager, I am now in my 30s and haven’t worn them in probably 15 years. My mom is a big fan of the brand and kept telling me that I should try them again so I ordered a pair of Arizona’s. They took a Couple of weeks to break in, but are so so comfortable. I Have accumulated three pairs in the past month, I cannot stop buying them. The oiled leather colors are so unique! I will say that I think the sizing is a tiny bit inconsistent but not so much to where The fit is affected. All of mine are the same size, and they all fit a tiny bit different. Highly highly recommend this style. And as always, highly highly recommend Moosejaw. This company deserves 5 stars always!!
I purchased these amazing sandals to wear on my feet. They work well for their intended purpose. They look great with shorts or jeans or khakis. They are quite comfortable. I ordered in a size wide, but was unaware of how much the leather stretches while breaking in. I have them cranked down to the tightest hole now, so retrospectively, I maybe would've tried the regular. Once you get your settings dialed in, they remain on your feet with a slight curling of the toes. I wish I could find a sandal that would stay on my feet without having to do that. All in all, these are great, light weight, can wear on a date, come in the color slate, and are the master of all sandals.
I bought these because I have been having some foot issues (I pronate and generally wear a support in my reg shoes) and my chaco flips don't seem to be cutting it for walking long distances without foot pain. In the summer I live in sandals, so I wanted something I could still walk in.I haven't used these for an entire day yet, but so far I love the comfort and support. It has taken some breaking in but nothing major. I would wear them on a walk then give my feet a few days and then wear them again. I'd say I'm at the broken in point.I normally wear a 7.5 but I bought a 37 based on other reviews and they fit perfectly. I'll be purchasing another pair in another color soon.
