My husband has these in plain leather and loves the support it gives his feet. He wears them in the house all the time. So now he wanted another pair of Birkenstocks to wear as slippers. I took a chance on the shearling lined ones and they are perfect. I got him one size up from his last pair a his toes were right on the edge and these fit great. The shearling is warm yet opened toed for comfort. Great support as usual

I've sworn by the Arizona since I was an undergrad well over a decade ago (I still own and wear that first pair I purchased on Thayer St.). This is the sandal is buy now/wear now, and wear through mild winter days – think 50° as a high in December and early January, before Siberia arrives in February. The shearling keeps my feet and toes not only warm and toasty when it's cold but also cool and comfy when the temperature is warmer by wicking away any extra moisture on my feet. The shearling also helps the cork footbed keep my feet extra comfortable.I would recommend your normal Birkenstock Arizona size in length. Do not size up; the shearling will matte down with use and you want the cork footbed to hug your heel/feet when this happens. If you don't know your size, try them on without the straps belted. You need to determine if your foot fits the length of the footbed first, the straps will adjust to medium/wide width feet and high in-steps easily. As always, you need to break in your new Arizonas; initially the straps may need to be adjusted to a looser setting since the shearling is super plush, the footbed needs to conform to your feet, and the suede needs to stretch. Also, note that the shearling is lighter in color for the beige sandal, so dirty feet will probably stain the shearling a darker/dirtier hue – the black shearling on the black sandal may not have this issue. Avoid getting them wet, these are not meant for outdoor use on rainy days.Overall, I emphatically recommend these sandals. The icing on the cake was that I picked them up during a Power Point event before they sold out and got a reward card! #lookuptheloyallist #chargeitonthebloomies

These are perfect for cold weather! I love wearing them around the house as slippers and cannot wait to wear them outside when the snow is gone. I think I could’ve done my normal size but I did go up 1 size thinking the fuzzy would make it tighter. Shoes still fit fine and I won’t exchange for my size.

Okay, I already owned a pair of Birkenstocks (purchased directly from Birkenstock) prior to this black pair. They are equally as comfortable, but the construction doesn't feel as sturdy as the other pair I own. It almost seems like the glue is slightly separating from the shearling area. As these are in black, I feel this may be the reason it's more visible. I should've bought the clogs, but alas. They're still seriously comfortable, and if you love wearing Birkenstock Arizonas like me, you probably should just buy them.
I bought these as a birthday gift for my husband. He said he wanted some fuzzy open toe house shoes. Most men's fuzzy slippers looked very feminine but these do not! The cognac color looks exactly as it does online. These are pricey, but you get what you pay for. He is very happy with his gift and has been wearing them daily!
These are the Fall version of my summer birks--I mostly wear these to walk the dog, so they're cozy and warm ...but easy to slip on and off! I think the sizing is pretty standard, so I just ordered the same size I normally wear in the regular Arizona Sandals. I'd recommend!
I found a pair in clearance at a store I checked out during a trip out of state. What luck! Mine have felt straps, very comfy. The shearling lining is nice and warm around my drafty house! I got a size larger so I can wear with thicker socks. (And that happened to be the only size pair in clearance). Just goes to show that it pays to check out the local DSW wherever you may be!
Worth every penny. Love love love them. I wear them all day, every day (just ask my family)! They are my quarantine go-tos. They have all the comfort of regular Birkenstocks, with the added benefit of the shearling lining to keep my feet warm this winter, and they are super cute (assuming you like that Birks Arizona look). They felt a bit tight at first due to the shearling, but now that the shearling has compressed a bit they are true to size. I personally don't plan to wear them outdoors other than to fetch mail or let the dog out, though I might if I lived in a dry place. If they got super dirty, I’m not sure you could ever get the shearling clean properly. Even so - highly recommend.
I’ve worn a pair of women’s shearling sandals like this and they are too narrow so I decided I would try a men’s pair since it said it was a D width. Unfortunately these are about as narrow as the women’s and so I’ll have to return them. I am really disappointed because I find that I wear mine often as slippers at home and get a lot of compliments when I wear them in publicThey are warm, yet let toes breathe, and yes, sometimes I go as the ‘socks with sandals’ Northwest person.
These are AWESOME!! So comfortable, cozy warm and the size is the same as my regular birkies. It doesn’t take long for your feet to settle into the shearling. As soon as I put them on, I didn’t want to take them off. Yup, they are THAT comfy! They are expensive, but worth every penny given how long they last. And when time comes to replace these, I REALLY hope Birkenstocks are still making them.
