Birkenstock Boston Clogs Tobacco 46

Birkenstock Boston Oiled Leather Regular Fit Clogs are a veritable classic that can easily be worn all year round. Oiled nubuck leather Upper Anatomically shaped cork-latex footbed One strap with an individually adjustable metal pin buckle Suede footbed lining EVA sole Deep heel cup The very deep moulding in the heel area supports the foot tissue and holds the heel bone firmly in its natural position. This provides the foot with nearly as much support when it is in a sandal as when it is in a closed shoe. Heel mould Activates the calf muscles, stabilises the back of the foot and improves gait and coordination. Interior and exterior longitudinal arch supports The arch supports that run alongside the sides of the footbed surround the tarsal bones inside and out. This gives the foot the stability it needs when it takes a step. Transverse arch support The support that runs through the middle of the footbed stabilises the metatarsal bone. In this way, the transverse arch support helps ensure that the foot has a naturally straight and solid stance. Toe grip There are raised indentations at the front of the footbed near the toes. Thanks to the toe grip the toes remain loose and spread out in their natural position. The indentations also support the natural rolling motion of the toes. Footbed edge The footbed is drawn up especially high at the front. As a result, the high footbed edge protects the toes during the rolling motion of the foot.

Weird. Back in the day, Birks were always true to size, but this generation- they decided to add half sizes & it kinda threw me off. I've always worn a 37. My US size ranges from a 6.5-7.5. If I would've purchased these from a local store, I'd have gone up a size (bc of socks in winter/they DO stretch after a while) OR exchanged them for a larger size. Maybe I got a pair of mis-sized clogs, which would be very Un-Birkenstock-like, ya know? I know the price is outrageous, BUT, they'll last you forever. Every single person who buys anything real leather should also have a waterproof & cleaning kit. Trust me! Scotch guard will add years to these. Also, if you are new to Birks, FYI: they will also re-sole your favorite shoe, just sent them an email. Keep the box, plus it's contents. If you ever wanna re-sell them, having the OG box & stuff will get you more money. Thanks Fingerhut :) Thank you to anyone for reading and I apologize it was so long.

Great Shoe, Sizes Offered At DSW is Limited

Birkenstock Bostons are extremely comfortable; they mold to your feet over time and have great longevity provided they are cared for. Unfortunately for me, DSW only offers Bostons in the Medium/Narrow width. I was able to order these in the Brown oiled leather (I think they’re Habana Brown on the Birkenstock site) and compared them to a Regular/Wide. For me, the Regular/Wide width was more comfortable (especially with socks), so I ended up returning them for personal fitment issues. The Medium/Narrow length seemed to also be a tad bit smaller than that of the Regular/Wide.

I have chronic plantar fasciitis, which unfortunately lets me know pretty quickly which shoes are going to work for me. I've got theories, but it doesn't really matter why -- Birkenstocks are the one brand that reliably never give me ANY foot pain. I wear the Arizona's all summer, but this year I decided to get the clogs so I could extend my "sandal season" into the fall/winter a bit more. Any worries I had vanished instantly -- the clogs are comfortable and durable -- I'm not gonna lie, I've been wearing them all winter.Bonus points for REI - I bought them one day, and decided to exchange sizes the next. Not only was it super easy, they had a sale going on for members and they applied a 20% off without me even asking for it.

Habana Oiled Leather Boston Soft Clog
4 December 2023

I have always heard about how comfortable and healthy Clogs are. I have also been advised that Birkenstock is one of the most preferred brands but can run pricey. After much thought and deliberation, I decided to go ahead and get a pair in Habana Oiled Leather. I am a size 12 regular and ordered the 45 EUD US 12-12.5. After receiving them very quickly, 24hrs (On Thanksgiving nonetheless) I finally tried them on. Based on my research and the advice I received from professionals, I guess I thought my feet would feel better than ever. I am hopeful that this will change with use, but for now it is very uncomfortable and very limiting to how long I can keep these on. The next thing I noticed is that as nice as the color is, if anything drips on it whether it's water, soap, coffee, tea, or anything, it leaves unsightly stains on the shoe which are not easy to clean.I do hope that as I spend more times wearing these, my experience will improve, but for now, I can't recommend, especially not at the current price point.

Looks and feels great; sizes run a little bit big
3 August 2024

I bought these clogs for my teenage son,He says that they are extremely comfortable, and they look great, too. I really like the colour. The sizes run a little bit big, compared to "normal" shoes. In particular, they are very "roomy" around the foot. This isn't a problem, because you can tighten the buckle. But, if you are between sizes, I would choose the smaller one.

Not So Soft
14 June 2024

The “new” soft footbed Birks are not very soft compared to the ones I bought about a dozen years ago. Here is a picture side by side, although you will not be able to determine softness from a photo. The footbed is taller, thicker than previous designs. I can still push down on the footbed of my older shoes and the cushion is about a quarter of an inch. The new version has almost no give, maybe a millimeter or two. They still fit well and will conform to my feet but the cushioning is virtually nonexistent and barely more than another pair I have without the “soft footbed”

The comfiest slippers ever
24 January 2023

Initially I resisted buying Birkenstock shoes for years, after having a pair in the early 00's which left me 'crippled' after one wear. My dilemma for the last 20 years has been to find some slippers that are durable and lasting, yet have a hard sole so I can nip outside and aren't fur lined and allow my feet to breathe. I love the look of Birkenstocks, so decided that I needed to do some research as they seem a bit 'Marmite' regarding comfort. What I found was a guide suggesting to start at 30 minutes wearing and increase 15/30 minutes every day. The benefit of 'bedding in' with slippers is that I often sit down many times whilst wearing them, so I decided to give them a go and I'm so glad I did! I now find them so comfortable and I will never look at another brand ... MoreInitially I resisted buying Birkenstock shoes for years, after having a pair in the early 00's which left me 'crippled' after one wear. I can't wait to now buy some Birkenstock sandals for my summer holidays...

They will be amazing once broken in!
7 April 2023

If you're expecting a pair of shoes that will feel perfectlt comfortable out of the box or simply want to hop on the Boston trend, you might prefer the soft foodbed/suede version of these. But the oiled leather is GORGEOUS and sturdy in a way that you don't find in many shoes these days. I can tell they are going to last for years to come once they have molded to the shape of my feet. And they look really cute, too. I am a woman with mildly wide feet and I took the same size I take in my trusty Arizonas though I feel like the heel is maybe the slightest touch more narrow. One of the shoes arrived a bit crushed - I was surprised they weren't stuffed with anything. Nothing a little stuffing + patience couldn't solve but it did stall the break in process a bit because ... MoreIf you're expecting a pair of shoes that will feel perfectlt comfortable out of the box or simply want to hop on the Boston trend, you might prefer the soft foodbed/suede version of these. Very comfortable Clogs
15 April 2024

I am not new to clogs as footwear in general, and I’m not talking about Crocks either. Growing up in southern Europe we wore wooden soles with leather uppers often. Also being a finish Carpenter by trade I wear clogs while working on projects where I need to be going in and out of house a lot for materials cuts, tools and parts, as they provide easy on andOff footwear that still provides a very good foot protection Although I normally wear wooden soles clogs with solid leather upper, these feel more like nice shoes. Very comfortable lightweight and absolutely beautiful.

Very comftable
16 May 2024

Firstly when purchasing online, finding the correct size was quite difficult. They seem to skip size 6 and jump from 5.5uk to 7uk. I instead went by the EU sizing and opted for a 39 which I thought in the uk was a 6. They arrived quickly, box was completely battered but shoes were in good condition. The colour on the website is a bit misleading. The website makes them look more brown than they are. I would say the true colour is more of a beige or taupe colour. They are very comfy though. I don't need to break them in like I did my Birkenstock sandals. Overall I'm pleased with them but just a few points to be aware of when purchasing
