Pay attention to where your toes sit on the ridges.Caveat: Many Nordstrom sales associates tell customers (mistakenly) to size down when they buy Birkenstock Arizonas. If these customers then go on to buy Bostons, they will find them less forgiving in a too small size than the 'Zonas. These poor folks then think, "I should size up," when really they're just back to the size they should have been all along.All that aside, these are great, great shoes. I prefer the harder leather versions to the suedes because I like to slip into these and kick them off without effort. They feel more like true clogs to me that way.

I have chronic plantar fasciitis, which unfortunately lets me know pretty quickly which shoes are going to work for me. I've got theories, but it doesn't really matter why -- Birkenstocks are the one brand that reliably never give me ANY foot pain. I wear the Arizona's all summer, but this year I decided to get the clogs so I could extend my "sandal season" into the fall/winter a bit more. Any worries I had vanished instantly -- the clogs are comfortable and durable -- I'm not gonna lie, I've been wearing them all winter.Bonus points for REI - I bought them one day, and decided to exchange sizes the next. Not only was it super easy, they had a sale going on for members and they applied a 20% off without me even asking for it.

I have always heard about how comfortable and healthy Clogs are. I have also been advised that Birkenstock is one of the most preferred brands but can run pricey. After much thought and deliberation, I decided to go ahead and get a pair in Habana Oiled Leather. I am a size 12 regular and ordered the 45 EUD US 12-12.5. After receiving them very quickly, 24hrs (On Thanksgiving nonetheless) I finally tried them on. Boys love them. I have 3 boys and we go through these faster than we probably should. Each kid 2x a year purchase. They wear every day and do NOT treat them delicately. We are a 4 season city and they wear all year round. Summer is Phoenix style. Winter is Boston style.
The “new” soft footbed Birks are not very soft compared to the ones I bought about a dozen years ago. Here is a picture side by side, although you will not be able to determine softness from a photo. The footbed is taller, thicker than previous designs. I can still push down on the footbed of my older shoes and the cushion is about a quarter of an inch. The new version has almost no give, maybe a millimeter or two. They still fit well and will conform to my feet but the cushioning is virtually nonexistent and barely more than another pair I have without the “soft footbed”
I have purchased two pairs of these and in both there was a major flaw. The first pair was suede and had non-matching wear amounts on each shoe, with one looking especially bad. The second was leather and had a major scuff on the side. Ridiculous experience to have twice for this price of a shoe, and will keep me from buying Birkenstocks in the future.
Super comfortable, good looking, fits perfectly and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable slip on shoe that keeps toes toasty, can be worn barefoot or with sock. Birkenstock soft footbed shoes can be worn all day long, foot is supported with footbed and adjustable buckle affords flexibility in looseness of shoe when worn to personal comfort level.
Bought these for Father’s Day and they arrived in a beat up box that was taped together and had a rubber band around it to keep it closed. Upon opening the box, there were two different shoes inside and each a different size. It also appeared that one of the shoes was a display that looked worn. I returned, got my money back and decided to purchase elsewhere.
Incredibly disappointed in Bloomingdale's. The pair of Birks were purchased as a birthday gift and I had to immediately begin a return. The shoe box was damaged and showed clear signs of being previously opened. Upon inspection, the shoes were not new, and also showed signs of being used/worn previously. They were not packed properly, and the tissue paper was used and crumpled. I was completed shocked at the item received. It gives me pause about future online orders.

Great with or without socks and you don’t get those weird socks with sandals looks from people if you do choose to sport some socks. They do a great job of keeping your feet warm and dry in the rain and cool enough in the spring summer. Perfect footwear for air travel as you can slip them off easily and not look like a weirdo with open toe sandals. Fit is a little different than with the Arizona sandal as I went up a full size and the leather in the toe box and the top of the foot will stretch a bit. At first I adjusted for when I wore socks but now they are perfect with or without them with no adjustment.
