I wore these all summer and they are holding up better than any other sandal I have owned. They are starting to look worn, but the entire sandal is still intact and shows little sign of breaking down. The other footbed sandals that I own had excessive wear on the rubber sole and I was only able to wear them for a season, but, I will easily be wearing these next year all summer long as well.

I debated on spending so much on a pair of sandals..but both of my daughters have Birkenstocks and rave about them. I decided to bite the bullet. Like others have said, there is a breaking in period before they are truly "yours" as the sole will form to your foot as you wear them. This is true. I think I have a few more "wearings" but so far the fit is so different than typical shoes and the support is awesome. My feet don't feel tired or sore after wearing them, the arch support is particularly great. I see why people with plantar facsiatis love these. So far so good, I don't regret my purchase. I can't attest to the durability yet.

These are taking forever to break in. My fault but the first time I wore them, I wore them for an 8 hour work day and could barely walk after because my feet hurt so bad. Over a month later, after wearing them intentionally frequently to break them in faster, they're better but still not what I would call comfortable yet. I will continue to wear them but I highly doubt I would ever again pay over $100 for another pair

I love Birkenstocks and have several pairs. I know my size (38) and have always just worn the medium. These are my first Arizonas, and I ordered an M. I knew right away that the fit was odd. I finally realized they are a narrow (box has a filled in black foot image, that's how you tell. I went to the store to return but ended up keeping them since there were no black Arizonas in stock. I figured I'd get used to the fit and adjust the buckles. Well, no amount of adjusting has worked, and I adjust them several times a day. Now I have to try to return them again after wearing them a few times. My right foot has gotten numb from the straps. Loosened, they are falling off. I just need a medium. I bought a pair and received fairly quick, but the buckle was scratched and there was thick glue on the strap. Unacceptable! These sandals aren’t cheap. Since there’s no Famous Footwear near me, I had to ship back using FedEx
Was beyond excited for these sandals! They were a special purchase that I had been wanting for a long time. I spend over 100.00 on sandals and they arrive with glue all over the side?! I would expect this for a 20 or maybe 30.00 pair of sandals but not 100.00. So incredibly disappointed
Very very narrow footbed and straps are cut short. I purchase two pair yearly of the Arizona scandal in same size and M width always and never had this issue. Very disappointing they are so cute but are getting returned
Love love my Birkens ! I use them all year round . Were a little hard in the beginning but once they were broke in , oh my god ! Wear these over crocs .

I have been trying to "wear them in" for months now to no avail. Most uncomfortable sandals I've owned, and for the astronomical price, sorry they should feel comfortable! The soles are like walking on plastic boards. I don't understand the popularity of these. My feet literally hurt after wearing these.They fit my wide feet as they have adjustable straps and they're made well, if only they felt okay😔
