I dread shoe shopping as I have a wide foot, high instep and narrow heel. I require comfortable, supportive shoes due to prior ankle injuries. My job requires lots of walking. The Gizah sandal is extremely comfortable, provides the support I need for walking and standing on my feet for long periods of time. I hesitantly tried on this sandal because I find sandals with thongs uncomfortable. I was pleasantly surprised how little I noticed the thong. I was so happy with my purchase that I bought a second pair in a different color. The sandal is so versatile, adds visual interest, updates spring and summer wardrobe.

This is a more fashionable Birkenstock, I love the variety of colours but more importantly the support. I can wear these all day and my feet never tire. Arch support is fantastic along with the foot bed design. You can't beat a Birkenstock, I have tried others, they don't compare.

My podiatrist recommended I get a pair of Birkenstocks for the summer to help with heel pain (plantars fasciitis) as opposed to wearing $5 flip flops which are terrible on my feet. Birkenstock’s have never been my thing, my husband and son call these my “hippie” shoes! I have to say they are very comfortable and do provide a good amount of support. The suede foot bed is really soft and comfortable, I pretty much wear these all day and they feel like slippers. Great quality, worth the $. I am between a 9.5 and 10 so ordered a 40 and 41 and went with the 40s which I have strapped to the tightest hole. these run a little big and wide, I would recommend sizing down a half size

I never thought I would ever consider wearing Birkenstocks! My friend had these exact ones on in silver and told me I would love them. Well I tried them and now they are my new favorite everyday sandals! The silver metallic gives them a very stylish and modern look and the thong style is not as clunky looking as some of the older Birkenstocks. The foot bed is very supportive and molds to the shape of your foot. However, they do run big and I had ordered a 41 which is my shoe size 10 and needed the size 40. Unfortunately, by the time they came and I went to reorder, you were out of my size and still are in silver! I found them on another website, but that color silver and size was difficult to find everywhere! That shows how people do love them.
I am still breaking in these Birkenstocks, however they are already comfortable after only a couple of wears - (traditionally Birkenstocks need a couple of wears to feel like you're walking on clouds, I'm told). They look good and feel good and importantly my foot feels very supported. Simple. A good buy.I would like to make mention of the excellent service I received from 'Styletread'. I had to exchange the original pair I received as they did not feel right. I spoke with Kimberley from Customer Care at Styletread. She was friendly, polite and courteous and eager to help me with the process. I sent my original pair back and 2 days later received the replacement. Well done to Styletread.
Very uncomfortable toe divider! Our daughter has a pair and said it does take getting use to. At our age, that wasn’t something we wanted to invest our time in being uncomfortable! We returned them!
The Gizeh Birko was the best purchase I have made for a while. Fits true to size. I am a size 10 and almost verge on a size wide but usually can buy a medium width in most brands and fit. When I bought these they were super comfy on -the foot bed ALONE is worth the price HOWEVER i could NOT stand the thong plastic-piece near my big toe. I believe I read that it is leather however it was not super soft and kept rubbing against my toe/toes while I was walking which made me return them as I was nervous of scarring. The little leather piece near the toe is also extremely flimsy-probably so it's not hard and doesn't rub your foot but it's not super soft either to the point of comfort. For that reason alone I would recommend a different style of birkenstock which i'm still trying to decide on.
I've been wanting a pair of Birkenstocks for a long time. Since I have bunions, I have to be careful of designs. These sandals work perfectly for my situation. There is a break-in period. At first, the soles are stiff. If you follow the instructions and wear them around the house for a couple of weeks, they will shape into an exact fit. Love these.

I have two styles in the soft footbed and prefer it but could not find Gizeh in black in the soft footbed so I reluctantly bought these. I am keeping them but after wearing them several hours every day for days, they are not that comfortable and have not broken in yet. The soft footbed Gizeh was comfortable right out of the box and I was able to walk all day in them on the first day. This is probably the last time I buy the regular footbed. As a footnote, I wear 6-6 1/2 shoes but in Birkenstock I always size down as they run a size larger. Also, the widths are narrow and regular per the company although many are sold as narrow-medium and medium-wide.
