This pair broke in really fast, which turns out to be a bad sign. In months, they are more worn out than my last pair in years of use. I’ve been waiting to exchange them but they’ve been out of stock. Will be sure the next pair doesn’t feel so soft, both in the cork footbed and the strap. Since they’ve worn so odd, I’ve gotten blisters on the bottom of my feet. Can’t wait to exchange them.

I ordered these in silver size 37 - I normally wear a 6 or 6.5 in sandals. The fit is spot on and the color is great, BUT the toe-post is hard plastic and not comfortable. I will keep them because they are the look I wanted, but I will not be able to wear them for long periods of time because they eventually start hurting between the toes. A leather toe-post would be much better.

These are very good shoes with full arch support and were recommended by my podiatrist. My problem is that I have long toes, so the front edge was uncomfortable. There is a slight rise/lip at the front of the shoe that rubbed the bottom of my toes. I was already in the largest size, so no option to size up.This is an excellent shoe, it just didn't work for me. Highly recommend, especially if you have plantar faciitis.

The Gizeh Birko was the best purchase I have made for a while. Feels great! One of the few shoes i can wear right out of the box all day long. Pretty much all i wear in six different colors. You do have to be accustomrd to thong type shoes or you may not like. I've worn flip flops all my life so no problems. Find you size in eu sizing and ignore US sizes works best for me. US sizes can be all over the place but find EU sizes to be more reliable. In US size normally wear 7n however the EU size 37 consistently fits in Birkenstock and other shoes that offer EU sizing.
I love Birkenstock and I have been wearing them for about 30 yrs. When I was still working I usually wore regular shoes. When I got home after work the first thing I did was put on some Birkies. I can't tell you how good they felt. I have a little bit of an issue with the manufacturers. They changed the sizing. I have always wore a 37 which was a 7-7.5 . The pair I just received from QVC is a 38: that's what the chart indicated. They don't fit as well as they should, my toes and my arches are not where they should be in the footbed.
I bought these a few weeks before my trip to Vegas. After reading how Birkenstocks are so comfortable, I bought my first pair hoping they would make walking so much wouldn't be so painful. I started breakout them in as soon as I got them. The part that's in between your toes is a hard plastic piece that never softened up. I put moleskin on the plastic part hoping that would help. It didn't. It got to the point where just putting my feet in them hurt so bad. Needless to say, I wasn't able to use them for my trip and had to buy a new pair of sandals the day before I left for Vegas. Now I question whether I buy a different pair of sandals from them because this was such a painful experience.
I ordered it and was happy it arrived on time! A day before I leave for my trip. But when I opened it, I am so upset! It was used, the bottom looked yellowish and in a plain white box! Not the original! I’ve had Birkenstocks before so I know. Customer Service couldn’t do anything. Sorry doesn’t cut it. So I’m stuck wearing boring sneakers. I should’ve ordered something else.
I was looking for black casual sandals that also looked cute on my feet and were comfortable. I like the way they look but the left foot is somewhat uncomfortable in the bed under where your toes go through the strap. I try to wear them to maybe work that out but no luck yet, and I really haven't worn them that often. I've heard you have to wear Birkenstocks for a while to get them to be more comfortable. I've been wonderfully blessed with flat/weak arches, heels that want to collapse inward like the stick that broke the camels back, and the oh-so horrid second toe that is longer than the big toe. Makes it hard to find shoes, especially sandals, that dont give off geriatric or cavemen vibes, no offense.Of course I went through the cheaper options, I'm only human. I dont think Im one to drag my feet, but after a few months most of the soles of my sandals were non-existent. I slid on my little heaven walkers, and.....whoa. They keep my heels and arches in check like a Navy Seal drill sergeant, and that lonely long toe can join the rest of the piggies, safely tucked inside the front lip of the shoe. Throw a little polish and BAM, feet that look like I'm intentionally letting them out of sneaker confinement. Guess the moral of the story is.....trust a hippie?
