I have been a faithful Birks wearer for over 28 years. Somehow, I have gotten this far without ever owning a pair of classic Arizona's. They always seemed mannish to me, especially on my large feet. But, in the soft taupe suede, they actually make my feet look smaller and feminine. Love them! I ordered my usual size, 42, in the soft bed. They seem narrower than my usual Birks, even though I ordered the regular width; maybe because of the soft bed? When I tried the next size up, I was swimming in them. But, I wanted the soft since I am recovering from foot surgery. And, it really does make a difference. So, I will stick with the 42 and hope they do their usual magic trick of conforming perfectly to my feet.

My sandal preference has always been flipflops, but over the years the quality of some of my favorite sports brands has taken a down turn. They are no longer supportive as they once were, and I became more prone to "rolling" my ankles. I needed something supportive, comfortable, and stylish, and I found it with these. I went with a neutral shade to match to just about anything casual in my wardrobe (I tend to stick with cool shades-black, blues, greys, etc).One feature I want to mention is that it takes a bit for these to "break in" and better conform to your feet, so they are a bit stiff at first. I have multiple pairs of Birkenstocks and have never had discomfort or a poor fit. There is something wrong with the construction of the left shoe. It should not have passed quality control. I expected it to get more comfortable over time, but it has not! Wish I had returned these sandals!

I bought the taupe suede soft foodbed Arizonas last summer and wore them nonstop. They are ridiculously comfortable, and my feet loved them. I had tried the metallic ones on, but the leather was so stiff, I knew that they would be very uncomfortable for a long break in period. The suede needs absolutely no break in—I could walk long distances in them right out of the box. I ordered the yellow for this summer. They are really cute, and I can’t wait for the weather to allow me to wear them. I like that the sole is white instead of brown, and they are still fairly neutral. They have a pop of color for fun but will still go with many things. I am a size 7, with a slightly wider toe box, and the 37 narrow are a perfect fit for me. No problem with width at all.
Because they are the softer, suede straps - you cannot just slide your foot into the sandal. Also decided that the color would probably look dirty after a few wears. I returned them and purchased the blue oiled leather ones (soft footbed sandal). I am so excited to wear these on my upcoming vacation. They will look good with anything! Love the blue - its very deep and classy.
These sandals are perfect from the first step. I am thrilled by how comfortable they are right away and know they will just get more so. I am recovering from an injury and need supportive shoes. I really like the stone color, it is a nice neutral grey/taupe that works well with all colors.
I looooove these! I’m a true 7 and ordered the 37 and they fit perfectly! I was a little concerned about the width but they are totally fine (my feet are very much medium width). I could see how these could be too narrow for wide feet though. I love the suede, imo it’s more stylish than the classic leather Birkenstocks. I will definitely dress these up and down. So excited about these!

Worn for long periods of time in the beginning, my feet started to hurt walking in them. I had to change my shoes to get a break!!! They are Birkenstocks, need I say more? They are comfortable, stylish and lightweight. Break them in by wearing them around the house a couple times and you are good to go. I tend to make the foot area wider than needed during the break-in period. Since these are metallic the leather is a bit harder than other birkenstocks.

They are not the wider shoe of the original Birkenstock’s of years ago, BUT, this only makes them less clunky and more attractive looking, not uncomfortable, if you have medium width feet. If your feet are very wide and you typically buy a wider shoe (you usually order ‘w’ wide; not ‘r’ regular width), then these may be too narrow for your foot.Both colors are great! I’m thinking if I tightened the leather straps to the 3rd hole, I may get some blisters until they are broken in. If the leather straps loosen too much over time (I doubt they will), I can always tighten them 1 hole in.
