I’ve had the Dyson Animal, Shark Navigator and the Shark Duo Clean. None…. Not one has measured up to the power of this vacuum regarding pet hair! We have 3 fur babies, and vacuums are essential in my life. I’m in love with Bissell. So not only can I literally use the upholstery attachment on my biggest baby, but it cleans unlike anything I’ve ever used. I love the Febreze air filter, the adjustable suction button to adjust to carpet depth is amazing, the crevice tool is fantastic for dryer vents and the fact that it works on carpet or hard surfaces… no further comments needed! This vacuum is absolutely unmatched by any other brand, best yet, they support our furry babies in need!

I highly recommend NOT buying this vacuum. If you have more than one dog and you don't vacuum daily, this is NOT the vacuum for you.My boyfriend bought me this vacuum for Christmas and we have had nothing but problems with it. We have 2 rooms to vacuum, both about 12' x 18', and we would vacuum every Saturday. The vacuum would clog up every time and we would have to take it apart to unclog and clean it. We spent more time cleaning the vacuum then we did vacuuming. We then started vacuuming 2-3 times a week. It still happened every time. So we tried daily, after all we do have 6 dogs but IT STILL HAPPENED, every single time. We even got a gate to keep the dogs off the carpet unless we are home. It still is happening. Good Vacuum - Great Price

I enjoy this vacuum. I really like the swivel head and how easy it is to remove the wand to clean under beds, on top of door frames, etc. I wish the wand had a light like the vacuum to see dust. I do not like where the cord comes out of the bottom of the vacuum. I would like a placeholder at the top of the vacuum to hold the cord while vacuuming because it gets my way. Also, the cord needs to be a lot longer.

Great vacuum

The Pet Hair Eraser Turbo vacuum is really great! I was not aware of this product prior to this program. I like that it has an extension wand, large dirt container, that it can be used as a hand-held with attachments, that it has a washable filter with optional Febreze filter, that it maneuvers well, and I like that you can turn the roller on and off. One of the best options with this machine is that it can be used as a hand-held. When you have pets, it's not just the floors that get dirty. In comparasion to a standard floor machine, having a 2-in-1 machine that functions as a hand-held is really nice. The quick release extension wand makes above the floor cleaning a breeze. The dirt container on this machine is nice, large, and easy to empty/replace. Another great thing is that this machine maneuvers incredibly well for how large the machine is. I absolutely love that you can turn off the rollers. I use to find myself sucking up rugs constantly, it's nice to be able to shut off the rollers to prevent that. Additionally, I like that I can wash the filter instead of having to buy a new one all the time and I really like that the Febreze filter is optional. Initially I thought it had to be used with the vacuum but it doesn't. Most importantly I love how powerful this vacuum cleaner is. I'm not constantly running over the same piece of debris trying to pick it up. It definitely gets things clean the first time. All in all this is a really nice vacuum cleaner. It works great, has powerful suction, useful attachments including the extension arm, maneuvers well, has an optional roller switch, and is extremely convenient to own. I would absolutely purchase and recommend it.

Incredible Vacuum

An incredible vacuum to use. I don't own a pet, but bought it based on the specifications and it did not disappoint. After the first use throughout the house there was a distinct smell of freshness, and the dust that this vacuum extracted shows that my previous vacuum didn't even compare.Best vacuum I've ever used. I never usually leave reviews, but this one was so good I felt compelled to.The only downside is that the machine is quite weighty to move, if you have strength/mobility/grip issues it could be difficult to use (someone else in the household has this, and while they could use it they found it a bit strenuous/exhausting).

Not Lightweight, But Great Vacuum

I have a household of hair. Three long haired female human inhabitants! I had an Electrolux bag vacuum that did ok but the head ended up being really clogged with hairThis vacuum is bagless and upright so quite different. I cannot believe the amount of dust it sucks up every clean! It's quite satisfying yet a little scarey to think it was all in our carpet.And as for hair, it really works to not clog the head (although some of the very long hairs need a tap to go up the spout). I even accidentally sucked up the sash of my nightgown and it was super easy to remove.There's only a couple of negatives:1) It's not really lightweight as advertised. Forever having to lift it up as it trails behind the vacuum. It's long enough but could be a metre longer to really be long. Not Pleased

I have to disassemble it every 8-12 vacuums of my 900 sq/ft house because it becomes packed with dirt behind the brush. The filters are clean, the brush rolls freely, and the hoses aren't clogged. I only have short-haired pets. I often have to reach into the "Easy Empty Dirt Cup" to pull out debris. So, the claim "you don't have to worry about cleaning your vacuum after you've cleaned your home" is nonsense. Also, the hose doesn't really extend. If you stretch it out to vacuum something up high or under some furniture, the hose is so springy and the unit so light it'll topple the vacuum. It's pretty to look at, and when it was just out of the box it did a good job even for my allergies. It handles well, and I like the lights.

READ BEFORE YOU BUY- long hair

I have 2 Australian shepherds. I originally loved my Bissell pet hair eraser but it has one MAJOR design flaw in both the main unit and attachment. They're rotation is powered by a gear and belt. Unfortunately the gear parts have just enough space in between for hair, especially longer pet hair or human hair over 3", to tangle around and stop rotation and functionality. Get enough hair in there and soon you'll be taking apart both. Im glad I noticed it when I did or I would've burnt out the main motor! It might be different with short hair pets but this has been my experience. Pretty disappointing for a vacuum I spent over $200 on.

Works great!

We got this vacuum because our dyson broke. I wanted something that was manufactured with pets in mind. We've had this for about a month and it is such an improvement from our last vacuum. The collection container is a little small so it needs to be frequently emptied, but honestly, that's not a bad thing. There is some kick back on hard wood if there are large amounts of rocks, but overall, it works wonderfully.
