You do need to clean it after each use if you have pets because that “pet smell” will get in it and when using that’s all you smell. It comes with a couple attachments for use on other things, but I haven’t used those yet. Love this handy machine

I just tried my new Bissell hand vac and it seems to be FANTASTIC! Lots of suction, getting all the cat hair on my carpeted steps. It is also fairly quiet. My only complaint is the the on/off button is too close to where i put my hand on the handle, and I shut it off accidentally a few times while using.

Love the vacuum. When I used it to vacuum my car it picked up really good. and the skinny nozzle attachment picked up better between the seat and the door then any other I've tried. It did need recharging before I vacuumed the way back on my Honda CR-V, but I needed a break by that time anyway. Later I used it to vacuum the cat and dog hair off the covers over my couch and loveseat, and it did a really nice job of picking it all up also.

I purchased one Bissell Pet Hair Erase 2390A about a year ago. I and my housekeeper love it so much I bought another one this past week to put in the lower level. My only wish is that I had bought one ten years before. I give it 5 stars for it's efficiency as a tool for picking up cat hair and cat liter. It is just the handiest tool I have ever boughten.
I normally use cordless hand vacuums to pick up multiple hair balls from my german shepherd and I put this Bissell Pet Hair Eraser 14V Lithium-Ion Cordless Hand Vacuum to the test. I used the Pet Eraser attachment and used it on my flimsy throw rugs and regular heavier throw rugs. Perfect! Made 1-2 passes and rugs looked like new again. I use the other long one for picking up hair along the wall, under my 2 desks, under the counter, you name it. Oh, forgot to mention...when you turn this on, oh my gosh it is so quiet. I can turn it on and not wake up the dogs practically. I do, but they only open their eyes to check where I am. If this Bissell Pet Hair Eraser vacuum dies, I'll be repurchasing another one.
I bought this to use in my semi-truck and it does a fantastic job. I travel with 2 small dogs and keep my truck very clean. The attachments work great as well. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a portable handheld vacuum. I have a chihuahua and maltese and this picks up all of the dog hair quickly and easily. It also picks up dirt, rocks, dog food, coins, everything that needs to be vacuumed up.
The suction was exceptional. But it stopped working justs 3 months after purchasing. This vacuum was used for my stairs only as I have a larger vacuum for the rest of my house. I reached out to Bissell's customer service and was told to take it to a local repair shop. When I asked who would pay for the repairs he said Bissell would. but gave me nothing to take to the shop or no email correspondence to that effect. After, I asked futher questions he stated in the chat that I was no longer responding in the chat( althoughI was) and proceeded to tell me he would disconnect the chat and have a nice day. I have been a Bissell customer for over 20 years , usually customer service has been top notch. It works great. The suction is powerful. Ive only used it twice since purchasing so I havent used it all that much and havent used all the attachments. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because I have a hard time getting some of the attachments off. Maybe after its broke in a little more it will be easier. All that said, I would buy it again!!
The vacuum has a good amount of suction BUT, it doesn't pick up well at all UNLESS you have one of the attachments connected. The front is just too blunt with a small small suction hole to pick up any debris on the car floor mats or in the seats. If you shove the crevice attachment on, which makes the tool or vacuum much larger or longer, the crevice tool pick up well. The electric spinning brush attachment works pretty well too. But, I was hoping that JUST the naked tool without any attachments would pick up better. So, for $80.00, I'm a bit disappointed. Bissell should have somehow redesigned the nose of this vacuum so it would work better without any attachments.
I got this since one of my dogs sheds so much and spends most his time in my room. My husband thought it was just an in pluse buy at first but now he uses it more then me. Every day he is using it and doesnt even use the big vacuum in our room anymore and its only a year old and also made for dog hair. you will not be disappointed with it we have only had it for a couple months. i do wish battery lasted longer but it gets up so much haitlr its not worth taking a star for.
