I do like this carpet and upholstery deep cleaner. It has a pretty powerful suction to remove tough pet stains in odors. I’ve used it on our carpet multiple times and we also have used it on our couch to get out some of my kids stains. This has been such a lifesaver to have handy with pets in the home (or even kids for that matter lol). Anytime there is an accident I can quickly and easily take care of it without having to worry about it leaving a stain or any lingering smell. It has powerful suction, leaving very minimal dry time. I especially love that it comes with a 2nd brush attachment that has its own little dirty water cup that screws onto the bottom of it so that whatever you suction up goes directly into the separate cup and doesn’t get run through the hose or the rest of the machine at all. I honestly don’t know how I ever lived without this. I would highly recommend this to any household with or without pets!

So I don't have pets, but wanted one of these to clean up small spots and stains around the house. I decided to try it on an office chair and mixed up some solution. Cleaned the chair, which didn't look all that dirty to begin with, and was amazed at all the dirt that came out of it. Since I mixed up way too much solution I started going around the house looking for other places to try it. Found some spots on the carpet in a spare bedroom that were there when I bought the house. Didn't think they'd come out but figured I had nothing to lose so gave it a try. With a little spray and some scrubbing, it dissolved whatever it was. Sucked it up and to my amazement the carpet looked like new! My major beef, however, is the small size of the suction head. For a machine such as this model, I would expect a more substantial suction head, like 6-8 inches wide, not the puny suction head of the smaller models. While I purchased this model on sale, the regular price of this machine is in the $200.00 range. I should not have the option to “purchase” a bigger suction head. Decent, could be better

Although it does what it’s intended to do, it is EXTREMELY loud - it terrified my two cats both during and afterwards. It definitely has *suction* power however for the cost of the machine, I expect it to include more than 1 basic tool. That was a disappointment because if you want to clean something other than a carpet, you gotta fork out more money for the proper tool lol. In addition to the lack of accessories provided and the noise, it is leaky when you remove the bins to empty them and the *troubleshooting* does nothing. So, beware of excess water when removing the bins and make sure there is a towel under to keep the water from spreading. Overall, if you can deal with an extremely loud noise it’s a good machine but I’d rather not and I don’t enjoy the leakiness.

Extreme leaking...

I bought this item due to the raving reviews and after researching other cleaners. It leaks significantly everywhere. I used the cleaner for 1 minute and my floor has about 1/4 cup of the water solution all over. I tried double checking the water tank and the dirty water tank to make sure those were in properly and tried again. Still leaked a bunch more of the solution. I now cannot find the receipt and I want to return it to fet rid of it. It could be this particular one that's faulty but I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated. Wasted $200.00

Not for people with arthritis hsnds

My hand was injured this past year and I didn’t even consider that when I ordered the Bissell. I’ve heard nothing but great things about it and I was super excited to give it a try soon as I received it and made sure that my rug wss freshly vacuumed, and I proceeded to try to use it. With this particular machine, you have to squeeze the trigger in order to release the spray. If you have issues with your hands, it may be too much for you. I only did a small area and my hands hurt more than they’ve ever hurt! With being a new injury I guess it’s just something I’m gonna have to be aware of in the future and make sure to avoid purchasing items with the trigger. Hopefully I’ll be able to return for a full refund.

Piece of Garbage, Useful for: Damage & Regret

Do everything perfectly, vacuum the area, use detergent as suggested, clean area, vacuum shampoo residue.Once you use it, it doesn't clean pet messes, even if the stain is less than 4 hours new. No stain has been fixed, new or old. I've used two different Bissell branded cleaners, the PET SPOT REMOVER as well, and one Simple Green all purpose shampoo + handheld extractor cleaner. There's worse to come, as it turns out, and my carpets look permanently ruined from this unit's "performance", if you could call being useless performing.Used roughly 4 times, suddenly it's spewing water out through the exhaust system at the front of the unit, spewing water out of the hose, spewing water without activating the trigger. Solution to messy kids, dogs, and spills

Love this machine. Compact, easy to use, and powerful. The dirt it gets out is a bit disturbing but very satisfying to see. A little on the loud side but that’s to be expected. Great for couches, mattresses, stairs, all the busy spots that get used all the time. Love the hose cleaning option so that there isn’t a musty smell over time. I would recommend this to everyone especially those of us with kids, dogs, and anyone prone to spills. Definitely worth buying, even better when it’s on sale.
