I purchased this based on the price and previous reviews and I have had no regrets. It does what it's supposed to do very well. It picks up pet hair extremely well and due to the type of bristled head it has it doesnt get clogged up at all. I have a 3 bedroom, 2 living roomed home and the battery charge holds well enough to clean throughout without recharging.. I think it's a great little machine that slides under furniture with ease and I would recommend it to any prospective buyer

Battery dies too quickly.

Bought this vacuum about 2.5 years ago, worked really well!! It was really good! No doubt about it. However about 1 year in the battery life decreases significantly. 2.5 years on, the battery has completely given up. Can't buy a replacement battery for this model either. So now i'm on the Noel Leeming site looking to buy a new vaccum, thought i may as well write a review.

Pros: Super light to push around. I have a bad back and I love this as i don't have to bend. 20 minute approx. battery life is enough to vacuum a 3-bed house & makes you get the vaccuuming done fast! Such a good nmachine, my kids now volunteer to do the vacuuming!!. Love how it automatically detects hardfloors/carpets and changes settings automatically. Hand-held attachment easy to clip in & out. Good suction. Filter/dust catcher has good capacity for its size.. really doesn't need emptying that often. Optional room deodorizer on filter smells OK, not as unpleasant as other reviews say! Cons: no bad points

Love the B&D Stick Vac!

Initially wanted to get a Dyson but settled on this cheaper option. Very happy we did! Not a 100% keen on the perfumed filter but getting used to it. Great battery power for what we need it for. Very happy! :)

NOT suitable for pet hair

Very disappointed when I began to use the product. Firstly, the awkward design makes it difficult to hold. It also doesn't sit upright when it isn't in use and falls over easily. Secondly and worst of all, the dust compartment is ridiculously small and fills up very quickly. It's also very difficult to empty into the bin and makes such a mess in the process. The filter itself is very difficult to clean after the bin is emptied. The suction power is quite poor and has difficulties in sucking up the smallest of objects (even pet hair which it's targeted towards). It is definitely not suitable for households with pets. I do not recommend this disappointing product at all. A much cheaper option would do a better job.

Not good for long human hair

This is excellent for pet hair and definitely sold me on stick vacuums for life. Unfortunately it is excellent at pulling up human hair as well and it winds right around the rotating brushes at the bottom. Within a year I had to pay $70 to get the brush replaced, and needed to untangle hair from it every 2 uses with two women with long hair in the house. If it wasn't cleaned every 2 times it clogged up the tube. It's about 2 years old and it has run out of battery now.

SUPER HANDY, SUPER FRESH!

This is super handy, and with great suction for a stick vac with the two settings. Easy to use and empty. The additional filter with perfume leaves the air so fresh! Would happily recommend this product.

So convenient

Have had cheaper vacuums before but this purchase has already paid for itself after a couple weeks. It's light and easy to use, has really strong vacuum (two selectable strengths) and is easy to empty. Bonus points for the wall attachment included which allows the vacuum to be stored and hung safely.

Uncomfortably Vibrates Through Hand

Wouldn't recommend this vacuum, bought this for our office, low pile carpet, not a lot of work required. It's ok in picking up debris but it vibrated terribly through your hand while holding it. Very Very Annoying!
