I have had a pair of these gloves before and was bummed that the finger tips split early on. Thinking it might have been a sizing issue I got a larger size this time and after a week or so of use that part is fine, but the small fabric loops that appear to be left over from the packaging connection made for an irritable and uncomfortable fit in the initial few days of wearing. After tearing those off, the fit was better. Looking forward to seeing how they last. Good look, good price, light weight.

These are fantastic alternatives to tape gloves, and are some of the thinnest and least restrictive options out there. They are minimally invasive when crimping and very comfortable for jamming, I would say the one downside is that, while I haven't had any breaks yet, the minimalist construction does leave me with durability concerns, especially in regards to the finger loops. With this, a break would be particularly upsetting as they are one of the most expensive glove options. Having said all this, I will keep buying them because they are comfortable, quick, and I don't feel as much like I am cheating when I use them compared to others that appear to be using 3mm of Vibram XS Grip rubber

I used the sizing guide and measured my hand as directed by BD. First fitting from an online purchase and they were snug. Almost too tight. After a few pitches they relaxed a bit but stayed snug. Probably put about 7 pitches on them so far on sharp granite and they are still in great shape. Love that they cover the thumb and the back of the wrist. Great design and appreciate the full coverage and fit. Only thing to improve would be the engagement angle of the Velcro strap on the wrist and possibly a cover for it too. It had a slight tendency to snag on the edge of the crack. With intentional avoidance, it did not affect my climbing, but its an area for improvement.

As someone with bigger paws I can’t use other brands (Ocun, OR, Wideboys) as then they make thin hands and perfect hands too tight. These gloves are thin enough not to mess up jam sizes and protect the thumbs better than the competition. It also helps they look the least dorky haha.With the thinness comes lack of durability. The fingers get trashed pretty quickly and the Velcro strap stops working (just close it with tape). Expect these to last a few weeks in Indian Creek or a season or two in Jtree, longer in places with smooth granite.
If you're a wimp like me and want to protect the back of your hands from sharp cracks, these gloves are perfect. I love how thin they are and allow you to still feel the rock on your hands. You can still climb anything besides cracks just fine while wearing these gloves. The only negative I can think of is that the velcro tends to become weak over time causing the gloves to slip off while climbing. This can be remedied by a strip of tape around your wrist to keep them on. I've done hundreds if not thousands of climbs with these gloves and they are still holding together.
I really like these gloves and their design. I have been using the OR crack gloves for a while, and the BD gloves seem to hold up much better. I also love that they look like tape gloves. I do have an issue with the sizing… Purchased a large, which I think would typically be fine for my hands, but I noticed that the fingers are very tight. I do not have large sausage fingers, and I felt the circulation being cut from them after a little bit of use. I upgraded to the XL Glove, and they do fit better, but the fingers are still very tight! I hope BD fixes the finger loop issue for their next glove. Otherwise I would give these crack gloves five stars.
When I measured for these, the size chart would put me in a small, even though I’m 6’2” with average size hands. I have other BD climbing gloves in medium that fit me well, so I went with the medium and they are still very snug. When I cinch the strap under the pad at the base of my thumb, the finger loops are pulled firmly down into the creases between my fingers, and I can feel it constricting the circulation in my thumb. If I wanted comfort, I wouldn’t crack climb— just be cautious about following the size chart blindly.Also, because it is not clear from the picture here, the gloves are open in the palms.
I’m coming from Ocun gloves, which I really like, but in my opinion, these are much better. The slim profile is everything and the material feels great and on my hands. Plus they look cool! A few runs up the gym hand crack felt super secure against my hand and against the slick wall. I think they’re a great fit for anyone moderate to expert — They don’t have sticky shoe rubber on the outside like the Ocuns so you actually have to make your jams stick. My palm is 8 inches around and the medium fits me snug.

The evolution has been great and BD's crack gloves are by the best. They're light, thin and, unlike other crack gloves, have quite good thumb coverage. I also appreciate the white color looking more like traditional tape gloves instead of black sticky rubber on your hands.The only downside is the lack of durability. The wrist strap is thin and is definitely the first part to wear out. The thin hook and loop closure also loses its grippiness eventually but that is easily rectified by a wrap or two of tape. I'm not sure this can be improved upon without ruining the light, thin feel of the crack glove, though. These gloves work fine for belaying and dry tooling. I have fairly long thin fingers and normally wear a large or X large glove. I originally ordered a large and found the fit snug and a little long in the fingers. I reordered a medium. They are a little tight but the length is better. If you have "sausage " like fingers you may want to size up. Not sure if the length will be an issue if you do. They are breaking in better after wearing these for a while. Still snug but the finger length is perfect. I can't remember the last time I ordered a medium but these seem to be breaking in nicely now.
