Harness fits well for my 1st grader and 2nd grader. Both are about 45-55lbs. Similar to clothes, this will likely be outgrown in a year or two. We switched a little late from the full body harness, so I think we’ll get a little less use out of these before we need to transition up. Ultimately, our kids love them… and love that they now match the adults.

I purchased this harness for my sons (4 &6). I still mainly use the Beal Bambi II Harnessfor the 4 year old, but the Momentum Harness is great for my 6 year old.Harness fits well and there's room for them to grow into it and last time a while.My 6 year old seem comfortable in it, but has mentioned on occasion it's "tight" in the legs but that could be mainly from how he's climbing.I would recommend this harness.Thanks.

Probably great for a 2 to 5 year old, but doesn't fit a slender 7 year old girl. Will have to buy another harness. The description claiming it fits a 28 inch waist is quite an exaggeration. There is very little ability to adjust it.This harness is really only suited for toddlers or slightly older.
Bought this for my 11 yo daughter. I measured her prior to buying. She has a 25" waist and 16" thighs so should fit this harness really well based on the measurements listed. The legs were tight and the waist barely fit with no room left for adjustment. We tried it on my 6 year old (he's tall for his age and skinny but didn't get his measurements) and it fit him pretty perfectly. We ended up getting a womens XS momentum harness for my daughter. It fit well cinched all the way down so she has a lot of room to grow in that one.
The product was as described -- the product was new and considering it's for rock climbing for kids, that's a REALLY GOOD thing! :-)))
Bought it for my son (4 y/o) who is built like a tall and thin 7 y/o. He loves the different colors, feels safe and confident when wearing the harness. He prefers this one over the full body harness. It is going to fit for a few years, so definitely good purchase for the price.
This harness is great. It's comfortable, functional, gear loops are accessible. But please note that this harness is for toddlers. My 50lb, average-sized 6-year-old barely fits in it.
I have an 8 year old girl and a 10 year old boy. Both are skinny kids. The youth harness is too small for them. I was a bit surprised. Like the other review. The 8 year old could put it on, but there was no room for growth.Ended up buying the Momentum harness in adult small for them. It's true to size if you look at the specs, but I checked runs small for those of you who expect one-size youth gear to actually fit a kid in 3rd - 5th grade.
Purchased this for 5.5 year old who is starting to get into rock climbing. Super light weight, he can keep wearing it when he switches from top rope to bouldering and doesn’t even notice it. Works great for both auto-belays and when I’m belaying him.
