The Momentum from Black Diamond is an all-rounder that is somewhat underchallenged in the climbing gym. It can only show its strengths outdoors and preferably on multi-pitch routes. Black Diamond has built the seat harness using Dual Core Construction, which means that two strands of webbing run along the upper and lower edge of the hip belt, stabilising the EVA foam insert and allowing maximum breathability as they are not flat. In addition to optimising pressure distribution, this also keeps the weight of the hip belt low. Everything is surrounded by a highly abrasion-resistant nylon material and can therefore withstand the highest performance requirements. When comfortably harnessed in this way, hanging in the harness at the belay station is also quite comfortable for longer periods of time. The tried-and-tested speed-adjust safety buckle on the waist belt is pre-threaded and allows the Momentum climbing harness to be put on and taken off quickly without any operating errors. The leg loops can also only be operated without errors, as the new TrakFIT adjustment works with a slide adjustment in a closed flexible system. Operating errors? Not a chance! Black Diamond has added a further safety bonus with the colour-accentuated rope loop. The blue of the loop stands out clearly against the grey harness. The elasticated fixation straps of the leg loops can be individually adjusted and can be unhooked from the hip belt. A haul loop is sewn in between, which, at 12 kN, can not only haul ropes upwards, but also really heavy material for long routes. The Momentum is completed with four compression-moulded gear loops, which allow the carabiners to be attached and detached with minimal disruption.
