Black & Gold Raw Sugar 2kg

Excellent product. I always use raw sugar and I really like the ones that are very fine crystals. Usually I buy organic but this is very comparable which surprised me being a home brand. The price is extremely good for 2kgs. I would love to know who makes this for Woolies though as I don't like buying CSR products as I don't support unethical companies.

Raw Sugar. I do normally buy this sugar and believe raw sugar is better than processed. I don’t tend to use a lot of sugar in everyday life but use it when cooking and when guests come for tea or coffee. I find it equally as good as other brand products. Keeps well and does everything sugar is needed to do and less expensive.

Great value. This certainly stands out among the sugar packets. I like the simple packaging. Just clear packaging with a very wide yellow/orange band surrounding the whole packet. There’s an image of a white cup/mug and spoon and the words “raw sugar – product of Australia”. The ingredients – 100% cane sugar. It’s sugar, so the star rating is. 5I do have raw sugar, but no idea what brand. It is probably one of the supermarkets own brands. I had a taste test of both and couldn’t find any difference. I had some tart nectarines which I washed, cut in half and removed the stone. I placed them in a baking paper lined pie plate and I used about 1 teaspoon of raw sugar on the cut edge of each nectarine and placed them under the grill. I used a low heat to begin with then turned it up and watched them like a hawk. The result is a tender nectarine with a soft, toffy like topping. Add vanilla ice cream and they are a winner. This 2kg bag is only $2. 10. I would definitely buy this, although it may be awhile, I also have a 1kg sample.

Excellent and Greaat Value! This is the only sugar I use and I have using this product for many years for everything from baking, cooking, desserts, beverage.... etc. Even when some recipes called for brown or castor sugar, I only use raw sugar and my desserts still turned out beautiful. It's natural and not highly process like white sugar. We love this product and the price is great.

Great tasting Aussie Raw Sugar. This raw sugar has the same great raw sugar taste and texture as the big brands but for a fraction of the price. Great to see that it is also an Australian product. Definitely one that I will continue to use and purchase. The only suggestion is that it would be nice if the plastic packaging is replaced with a more recyclable one like a paper packet.

Great value. I purchase generic sugar as seems to me to be the same as the others. Great price and good quality. Only suggestion for improvement would be to include a sticker to reseal the bag as 2kg does not fit into a lot of pantry containers. Definitely will continue to purchase this though :)

Sensational sugar. I am a firm believer that staple products like sugar and flour cannot be altered greatly and therefore why would you pay more for an equilivant brand named product and this raw sugar is no different. I don't use much raw sugar (maybe 1 bag a year) but this has always been my go to. Easily found in the sugar section, the clear and yellow packaging sure stands out on the shelf. Also available in 1kg and 3kg bags. 5 stars on being Australian and at 11 cents/ 100g it is also 5 stars on price. Highly recommend.

Why pay more? I used to be a shopper who only bought known brands - under the misguided notion that they would be of better quality. Then I came to my senses. Sugar is sugar. It isn't better because it's made by top brand names. I always buy raw sugar. It's better for you and I prefer it to 'normal' sugar. And I always by own brand sugar now. Why pay more for the exact same thing? This is an item I will continue to purchase.

Best taste and price. Woolworths raw sugar has a great taste, it's not sweet and sickly like white sugar. I have used this brand of raw sugar for many years and l have to say it's my favourite. You cannot beat the price either as it's much cheaper than other known brands. I will continue to buy this product as long as it's on the shelf.

Always in the cupboard. this product is always in the cupboard, used in those special recipes and when your having that cupper that needs a little bit better taste. seems to be a winner with the old coffee and tea people, price great, thank you Woolies
