She doesn’t get any scraps but does get kangaroo and sardines in her diet. We have no problem in keeping her at the right weight for her breed, I believe that Black Hawk helps as an essential part of her diet.

The breeder to my cavalier King Charles spaniel used the puppy Black Hawk dry food for all her puppies so I just continued. He is now on the dog variety and he loves it. His coat has remained soft and silky. He has grown so much but he has remained lean and a very strong dog .I would never change his food

I have been feeding my dogs Blackhawk for a number of years. Coats are shinier, stools are firm and now only a few times a day. Overall great health. It is worth the money when you know it makes your dogs happy and healthy. They love it - Great Dane x Mastiffs. Pet Circle get it delivered to us fast. Thanks PC!
Despite introducing EXTREMELY slowly from previous brand, Royal Canin (which was perfect, apart from being overpriced), my 7½ month old GSD X has suffered dreadful diarrhoea!! This has become a total nightmare given that she sleeps in my bedroom at night!!!! I wake several times each night to her distress at not being able to hold on! Eventually she can't and explodes!! Apart from obviously feeling bad for my poor dog (as ultimately it is MY fault, not hers - she can't exactly buy her own food), I am so over this!! I changed from the pricey, but awesome Royal Canin, to this Black Hawk muck after reading reviews and researching the product...what a total let down! 20kg of food and more than $120 down the drain. I am so damn angry!! We had our dog on this brand for the 2.5 years we have had her but after 1 too many bad batches recently and a vet visit we made the switch to another brand and it's fixed her tummy issues and her coat is so much softer.The last bag we purchased we needed to throw out with only half the kibble used due to persistent tummy upsets, green smelly soft stools and she was super itchy. I contacted Black Hawk on a few occasions to find out whether ingredients/proportions changed or even just to notify them in case something was wrong with the batch but I never get a response.It's a shame because we were loyal to Black Hawk and it was great food and a great price but for our girl it just started making her so unwell.
I bought this for my large greyhound as I understood the kibble to be larger than standard size. However, they are just your standard sized kibble and no bigger than the previous feed I was giving him. So, he still has to gulp them rather than chew them which is not ideal for larger dogs re bloat etc. Also, it has no effect of cleaning his teeth. Kibble needs to be much bigger, considering its advertised for large dogs.
We bought this puppy food 'chicken and rice' assuming it had been rebranded as at the time there was no mention of different ingredients as is mentioned now. The only difference was a different dog on the front. It made our puppy very sick for three days. She refused to eat it after that. We asked Black hawk for help with the matter and never heard back. We will never be buying Black hawk again for the rest of our dogs life. If we had received a reply about the matter we would not be feeling so angry but obviously the company does not care for its dogs or customers.
All my dogs are on Black Hawk and my 7mth old is still on puppy for medium breed. They are all standard poodles. Retail outlets make a big profit on this product compared to brands like supercoat. It's a shame they can't pass the savings on to the buyer instead of shop outlets. I do think it's over priced
On numerous occasions , I bring an elderly pensioner paying rent on her own, have mucked my order so many times and every time someone has rectified my error , on one occasion I purchased the wrong 20kl bag of dog food which does my dog one year. They told me to donate it which I did to S.C.A.R.S. Rescue and they promptly replaced the food, how wonderful. I was so upset but they fixed everything for me. I have done many things wrong over the years and I am eternally grateful for their patience and help. I am currently saving up to get my next years supply of nexgard spectra . Thanks again for everyone’s help.
