Changed to this from another high quality kibble.Our 7 month old Pit Bull's chocolate coat looks much shinier and feels silkier. Her breath has also improved.Smaller, consistent and firmer land mines means she is taking up more of the nutrients.We feed this with golden paste and kefir also as we did with her old food. She also gets dehydrated chook livers as training treats.Good owner's = good doggies

I alternate between this flavour and the Fish & Potato, combined with a 50/50 raw diet. My dogs do amazingly well on this food, and I'm so happy with the quality ingredients and value for money. I have tried other brands, but keep coming back. It's worth mentioning my dog's stools seem to halve in size when on Black Hawk, which is a great indication of how digestible it is, and gives a slow and lasting release of energy throughout the day. Other foods seem to give my dogs skin issues that ease off and disappear once back on this food. I don't know why I ever changed brands, but have settled on Black Hawk as the best option for my dogs. Best price I've found is on Pet Circle too, I probably wouldn't buy from a store again unless heavily discounted.

We had been buying this food from another retailer but on doing some research this was a better price from Petstock and with the free delivery it was a no brainer. Impressed with how fast it arrived and the packaging was great. Have set up a subscription for future orders.

Despite introducing EXTREMELY slowly from previous brand, Royal Canin (which was perfect, apart from being overpriced), my 7½ month old GSD X has suffered dreadful diarrhoea!! This has become a total nightmare given that she sleeps in my bedroom at night!!!! I wake several times each night to her distress at not being able to hold on! Eventually she can't and explodes!! Apart from obviously feeling bad for my poor dog (as ultimately it is MY fault, not hers - she can't exactly buy her own food), I am so over this!! I changed from the pricey, but awesome Royal Canin, to this Black Hawk muck after reading reviews and researching the product...what a total let down! 20kg of food and more than $120 down the drain. I was given this product as a sample and my Golden Retriever loves it. She tends to eat something for a week and then gets fussy but not with this food. I can see I’m going to have to buy more. It’s small kibble and looks quite moist, no powder left in the bottom of the bag.
I followed an online review on the fussy eating habits of growing pups in an attempt to feed my picky pup. It was suggested that Blackhawk chicken and rice, which was coincidentally given as a sample from Petbarn months prior to getting my pup, would be a solution and it has proved an ongoing success.The old rejected brand product was reimbursed by Petbarn to my pleasant surprise.
We bought this puppy food 'chicken and rice' assuming it had been rebranded as at the time there was no mention of different ingredients as is mentioned now. The only difference was a different dog on the front. It made our puppy very sick for three days. She refused to eat it after that. We asked Black hawk for help with the matter and never heard back. We will never be buying Black hawk again for the rest of our dogs life. If we had received a reply about the matter we would not be feeling so angry but obviously the company does not care for its dogs or customers.
Have used Black Hawk for my last dog but this puppy food is not good gave my German Shepard intestinal problem as the colour and quality changed. Started to get smelly stools and sick from food Vet recommended a different brand and now much better no smell hard stool not explosive like on this food. Would not recommend as quality is not the same in each bag lost most of a bag that cost a lot but puppy is happy now and not sick. Tried twice with the food and same thing happens so I have no fought it’s the food.
All my dogs are on Black Hawk and my 7mth old is still on puppy for medium breed. They are all standard poodles. Retail outlets make a big profit on this product compared to brands like supercoat. It's a shame they can't pass the savings on to the buyer instead of shop outlets. I do think it's over priced
My pup produce dandruff after trying out the other dry food and HillScience dry food. After consideration and recommended by our vetenarian, to our amazement dandruff gone completely and shiny coat shows off. He has lots of praise about his shiny coat after that._x000D_In the matter of fact, he is having his 3rd bag of 20kg dry food. Thanks to petstock for special offer regularly, otherwise would be challenging for this single mother.
