Black Magic Supple Trace Leader I use the black magic trace leader exclusively and find that if works great. It is strong and supple and relatively small diameter for the strength rating. I recommend it and are never without at least three spools in my tackle bag.
This line is perfect for heavier traces that often make tying an effective knot next to impossible. The softness of this line means that every knot can be tied effectively and neatly, without too much strain and muscle being needed to cinch up the knot.I do not use fluro carbon any more, preferring Black Magic's comprehensive range of purpose made lead materials. This leader comes in a wide range of breaking strains and is great for snapper, mullies and kingies and really is worth a look.
Knots easily because it is, as it says, supple. You can prepare your knots loose and the line does a pretty good job of holding its position while you arrange the rest of your rig. I don't have an opinion on abrasion resistance, yet.
I have been using Black Magic Supple Trace for years in land based fish. This product has never let me down after being pulled through rocks, barnacles etc. There were signs of abrasion as expected however no bust offs or the line randomly popping, I have full faith in this leader. Its very good value as you get a lot per metre compared to other brands and even better when they are on sale. Go try it for yourself, you won't be dissappointed.
Good stuff, great for knots. Plenty flexible but still strong. I do a lot of rock fishing and and beach fishing around coral reef, this leader holds up.
The best leader for price and it always hold up when catching bigger fish on rocks and from the beach.
We got 2 of these and 1 of them was twisted the whole way through. So made getting it onto the reel a pain. Was not impressed at all. But at least the second was ok. Safe to say wont be buying this brand again .
