I bought this dash cam after alot of research, I saw alot of other brands and also other blackvue camera systems. I selected this because of easy simple installation, access to built in WiFi anytime to save videos.The image and sound quality is very good and records videos in 1 minute increments this saves time to find the video you needs. The cable can be perfectly lined up and hidden from view.I am looking forward to buying a battery pack for it for 12hrs parking mode usage. My only regret is that I should have both 2ch rear cam too. I bought it for trip from Auckland to Wellington and back. The amount of irresponsible driver who nearly caused accidents all got recorded. A very capable dashcam BlackVue 590W

Good help available on website to choose a dash cam. 2. customer support, as they kept me in loop as shipment was delayed due to availability.The camera has very good daytime video even with my not so clean windshield. Easy to setup, I guess difficulty increases only when power hard-wiring is done. Also to mention that my camera is single channel so less hassled install. This camera was one of the choice along with thinkware f800 pro (was discounted on website making it comparable to 590W in price). Pros for me: 1. DR590x-1ch

This is my second blackVue dash cam. The other is a 950.(had about 2 years) . I've had this installed for about 2 weeks with no issues. The video quality is really clear, sound quality is also clear. The wifi is a little slow and sometimes a video will stop downloading and I'll have to start the download again and then it downloads fine. Overall very satisfied with this dash cam and backboxMyCar, Which is why I'm a repeat customer.

Good video quality

Happy with my dashcam choice for the most part.Worked great for month or so. After a blackvue app update I can no longer connect to the camera via wifi. So if I need to view any video footage I need to remove the memory card and use a micro sd to USB viewer to connect to my computer. Pretty inconvenient and the wifi viewing WAS a selling point of the dashcam.Blackvue support wasn't much help either.

I'm really pleased with this dash cam. The quality is great for the price range, and the Wifi makes setup much faster and easier than my DR590-1CH was. Having wifi would also make it so much easier to show videos to a police officer, or other person should you need to at the scene of an accident. But my favourite convenience that wifi adds is the ability to adjust the firmware settings right from your phone. On my DR590-1CH I have to remove the micro SD card, bring it in to my PC, plug it in, open the Blackvue Viewer, then change settings and put it all back together in the car. This is an extra pain since I use a tamper-proof mount for the camera. Purchased BlackVue DR590X-1CH Full HD Dash Cam for my in-laws

If you are looking a reliable and on budget dash cam. BlackVue DR590X- 1CH is a good choice. I have used this dash cam for 3-4 years. I recently bought this one for my in-laws and they love it. They are not tech people and installing is simple enough. I ordered on Sunday evening and I receieved from Blackboxmycar mail on Tuesday fyi, I live in Ontario. Good product to have.

This purchase was for a friend based on my recommendation. I've been using dash cams for many, many years and have had very good performance from Blackvue cams. In a previous review, I stated that I have them in my car and on the motorcycle. They're not intended to be used in an open air setting yet perform well despite the dust and vibration. I've been caught in heavy rain on the bike and they got wet prior to my being able to remove them yet continued working perfectly....not that I think you should dunk them in your coffee to test that out... Picture and sound quality is first rate as far as I'm concerned. Night vision is excellent.
