The Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Mini Panel is a compact hardware control panel that’s ideal for adding color grading to any workstation, and for freelancers that need to take their panel with them when traveling between facilities. The Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Mini Panel features 3 high resolution weighted trackballs, 12 control knobs dedicated to the powerful primary color correction tools, 18 dedicated navigation and transport keys, and an upper deck with two 5 inch screens, 8 soft knobs and 8 soft buttons, dedicated keys for switching tools, working with nodes, grabbing stills and navigating the timeline. The DaVinci Resolve Mini Panel adds LCD screens with dozens of menus allowing fast access to most of the advanced color grading features of DaVinci Resolve. This makes the panel more suitable for workstations that switch between editing and color correction, but it is still portable enough to be easily moved between workstations around a facility. The mini panel has enough features that a colorist will be able to do professional work on any DaVinci workstation that it’s plugged into.

I initially bought a micro panel. It was so good I had to upgrade to the mini panel within two months due to extra capabilities which shortned my workflow. If you have to make a decision and can afford it; the mini panel sgould always be your first choice.

The build quality is unbelievable. All the buttons and knobs have a remarkable feel to them that makes you respect the control in all new ways. In addition, the ease of use due to the layout of the knobs encourages you to make many more quick adjustments. Specifically the "offset" button allows you to quickly dial in color temp and tint and get right back to three-way color without skipping a beat. Not to mention the curves adjustments are now able to be done without looking at the controls, but just by feel due to the many knobs at the top. This alone makes the Mini panel worth it. I could go on, but if you work with Resolve a lot, this panel is worth it.

It definitely takes some muscle memory to get used to, but it opens up the color grading world for you. As for me things that were on different pages of Davinci Resolve didn't get used much because out of sight, out of my mind. Now i have most of the controls in my sight so I find myself using more of Davinci Resolve's capabilities. There are still some things i find easier to do on mouse and keyboard like power windows and i prefer printer lights over the offset wheel. This isn't necessary for you unless you want to take your grades to the next level because this machine is big boy/girl stuff.

The board is great but I've been reading this a lot in the comments. There was not D plug power cable. The instructions were vague and hard to access. Once I figured that out it was easy setting up the usb and the internet port for connection. Must need a power cable though.I wish there was an easier hdr button. Besides that I love it
If you're serious about color, you should definitely purchase this. Working without it and working with it is parallel to riding a bicycle compared to driving a car. You'll wonder how you ever worked without it.
It's very anoying to to purchase something and when it arrives you can't turn it on because it didn't came with a power cable. Other than that the build quality is amazing. So much more fine tune control than with a mouse and keyboard. Im very happy. Would have been happier if I would had been able to turn it on the first day.
I was using the Tangent Element panels before I got the BMD Mini Panel, and I like it a lot better. It's very well-made, solid, and all of the controls feel great, with good feedback. Very smooth. The integrated screens are great to have, as is the button backlight. I just wish they had included the backlight on the row of knobs above the wheels; those are the only ones that don't have it.I like that it can be connected to your system via USB or Ethernet. Very convenient. The controls are very well placed. So far the only thing that is missing that I feel should have been included is a Save button. I'm constantly having to reach down to my keyboard to save the project. As it is, the Mini Panel makes it possible for me to touch the keyboard and mouse much less often ... It's definitely a time-saver that is worth the money, in my opinion.
The balls and rings on this panel are fantastic, and when paired with a gaming keyboard for the buttons that are missing, it's almost perfect. But unfortunately, the transport controls are terrible. The buttons are way too small and not ergonomically placed on the console. If they could have done the transport controls the same way as the full panel, then this Mini panel would be awesome. Also, many of the buttons are hard to push, but get easier the more they're used.
Solid build, smooth movements.Imagine everything you need just under your fingertips and then some more. I absolutely love this. The price seemed steep at first but honestly, I can't imagine enjoying Davinci much without it.
