This battery grip adds so much shoot time to the camera and I'm very impressed with it. It can be hard to find the official Blackmagic batteries atm so I know many are going with a gold or v Mount solution but this works fantastic!!! My only reason for 4 stars is that the rubber grip already feels like it's peeling off.

I recently bought the BMPC6k pro with the Jupio battery grip. I bought the Jupio bc I already had LPE6 batteries. Bad choice. This OEM battery grip from Black Magic is perfect even though I had to buy new batteries. Additionally, invest in the Black Magic OEM batteries as well. They last way longer than the knockoffs you can find on Amazon.

I honestly am considering buying another one of these so I can swap during run & gun. You need energy when shooting with the bmpcc 6k pro, and this grip provides is the power of the sun in the palm of your hand.
This was back in stock in time for me to order and receive it before going on a 3 day remote shoot this weekend. It consistently gave me about 41 minutes at 4K with a 256GB cfast. It's great because I could swap out one of the batteries in the grip, have it charging in the RV while using the second, and having the battery in camera as a backup (3 batteries total). It works out perfectly if you need to keep shooting but don't have space to bring your full rig with an external. I'm a big fan!
The new battery format in the 6K Pro is a major improvement. Add this and you have plenty of battery time to film just about anything! This attachment is a must!
I haven't used the battery pack yet, but I can't believe it doesn't come with the batteries needed to use it! I'm writing this review as a warning to people checking out this product because the description is misleading. Be warned! After buying this you still have to buy two batteries that go inside, which pretty much doubles the price if you're using the original batteries...
This battery grip is perfect for this camera. The ability to have 2 extra batteries AND that they are hot-swappable are tremendous features. Also, having the battery grip on actually helps with how I'm able to hold the camera.
I've heard of some issues with the earlier releases of this battery grip, but mine was perfect. Makes the handle on the Pocket so nice to hold. It reminds me of holding a Canon 1Dx body. The battery life gives me so much more piece of mind shooting all day.
Blackmagic cameras are great, but battery life is an issue with them. This battery grip helps solve that problem. B&H was very helpful in the selection and purchase!
