This is arguably one of the most refined, versatile designer fragrance a man can get. Fresh, woody, airy, and slightly incensy (not so much that it becomes annoying). I get 8 hours of longevity and 3 hours of good projection. Suitable for just about any situation since it’s fresh enough to be worn during the heat but also woody enough to be suitable in cold weather. Now, you might be thinking: ‘what’s the difference between the EDT, EDP, and Parfum versions? Parfum: denser and woodier. Will last longer and your skin and form a nice scent bubble but won’t project as well as the EDT or EDP versions EDT: best projecting out of the three. Doesn’t last as long as the EDP or Parfum but it is fresher and more citrusy than both. EDP: in between the EDP and Parfum version

This is my favourite blue fragrance I've ever smelled. It's very original but with a quite familiar DNA, Bleu de Chanel just does it better, beautifully blended, fresh, sexy and smooth yet sharp. It could be worn in a business meeting or on a hot day at the beach, it’s extremely versatile. But it still stands out, in a way that it'll be the best-smelling scent in the room. It opens with a blast of cool-refreshing citruses, sweet pineapple, and ginger for sharpness - in the dry down sandalwood, mossy greens, lavender and slightly resinous. Lasts around 6-8 hours. Quite a lovely scent, that’s definitely worth having in your collection and an easy blind buy/signature scent.

If you smelled one bleu de Chanel you smelled them all. This is the quintessential blue freshy fragrance. There are differences between the EDT the EDP and the parfum tho. The EDT is much louder and ambroxen heavy and really smells for people 25 and under. The EDP is just as loud but with a touch less sweetness is for a bit more even fragrance that's good for all age ranges. The parfum is much more subdued really dialed back on the ambroxen and adds more woods for more dense experience. The longevity is pretty good at about 7 hours, projection like I said is not beastly like the other two as this sits at elbows length. Warmer days tend to work better than cold with this. Each spray is a generous portion, and let’s take a look at the scent profile. This one has more wood notes than the others, and less citrus which is disappointing. This also has less vanilla and vetiver, which a shame as these are universally loved. I do like the more tonka bean, which takes some time, but this isn’t enough to make it overtake the rest of the line. This parfum has been our several years, and if Chanel made this stronger and with the notes lacking, I’d certainly rank it higher. The lack of notes is definitely noticed. It’s like a “laid back BDC.” That’s not what a parfum is supposed to do. It’s supposed to deliver a scent cloud, and this won’t be happening here. There’s no projection to speak of, unless you go absolutely insane with spray amounts. Please don’t do that. It’ll become annoying, in any situation you’re in. The best uses for this are the office or a date. You won’t offend anyone, but chances of having ladies ask what you’re wearing, won’t be happening in abundance. I like this one, and for some guys, you might like this more easy going batch. I wish this was stronger, and that it would last longer. You might get 4 to 5 hours here. At this cost that’s a big time shame. I absolutely recommend the other BDC choices, but this one is only a conditional nod of approval.

I liked the EDP a lot, four plus stars, but the parfum is a five. This is simply put “the quintessential gentleman’s cologne.” Please do remember the concentration of the fragrance here, is 25 to 30%. You only need two to three sprays, and you’re in the golden zone. Often this is described as Chanel’s safest cologne, and that’s for good reason. Everyone I know loves it, the product is beyond versatile, and it is refined. Also I’d say its refreshing. There’s a warm citrusy shower gel, that just screams masculinity top note. Yet underneath this, is aromatic wood, lavender, and Amber to fill it out.
