This is really tasty. I usually add am the paste to some onion, garlic, chili and fresh ginger with a spoonful of brown sugar. Delicious Thai curry!

Not much flavour just heat. I have tried a few of blue dragon stir fry sauces and cant rate them highly. A few had a strong artificial chemical taste. Surprised to see many good reviews. But it is a matter of personal tastes and expectations and hence the differing opinions.

This was awful. Somehow it tastes like a Tomato Soup. Nothing like a Thai Red Curry which should be flavoursome & aromatic. It had no Thai flavours or smell at all. I ended up using 3 X the amount it said, and added chilli flakes & still hardly any flavour. Complete waste of the duck I had bought to use in the curry. Not impressed!
It didn't seem like it would oily when I put it in the pan, it seemed quite dry. After cooking it was a full on oil slick. Over and above what I would expect from a takeaway. I used a few sprays of rapeseed spray and that was all so it wasn't what I had added. I couldn't finish it, my lips were coated. I bought it to try it and won't be again. It was a strange orange colour too. The taste wasn't offensive hence the second star, erring on the positive.
I'm a huge fan of Nigella so like to make it up as I go alone. I went against the grain and did my own thing with it. It works really nicely as a marinade. Normally, I get some fish, used a homemade spiced paste but this time I used this jar. It was just the right consistency to coat the fish. I shallow fried and it was an absolute delight.
Super simple curry. Jar states it is a medium spice, but even my wife enjoyed and she is spice-phobic. Fry chicken, stir in half a jar and diced pepper, pour in coconut milk and simmer. Served over rice, easy as pie. Enjoyed with some prawn crackers, delicious.
I couldn't find my normal thai taste pods at M&S so decided to go for this Blue Dragon rubbish. I ended up throwing away three mostly full plates of rice, veg and fresh fish because this sauce is so horrible. It tastes very thick, salty and already has a high amount of Fish Sauce in it. Admittedly I made the mistake of adding another spoon of fish sauce like my normal recipe which made it even worse. Alongside the fishy taste also has no spice in there either. Shame as the other blue dragon sauces like their noodle mix packets are one of my favourites Really wouldn't recommend to anyone and glad I didn't cook a bigger batch. Normally i'd eat anything but this none of us could finish
This was my first experience with any red curry paste and thai curry cooking in general, so wasn't sure what to expect. I was initially put off by the colour and consistency of this product - orange and putty-like (think Astonish Oven & Grill Cleaner). However, it was very flavourful and quite mild (not sure I would rate it as 'medium'). I used it to coat some tofu slices (had to spread it on with a knife) which I fried and then added to some stir-fry veg and coconut milk to make a curry. I might buy this again but will try some other brands first.
I am not naturally good with spicy foods but love the flavour of red Thai curry. I have spent the last three years using this paste to help me build up my tolerance. We were able to add a good few spoons in for a delicious flavour and a heat I could manage nowadays. Now, it's bland and absolutely explosive with heat! Such a shame!
