We bought a pair of these and they have made a substantial improvement in our air quality. Asthma and allergy symptoms are reduced, and cooking smells are gone quickly. Leaving them set to automatic is perfect. Most of the time the fan is so quiet I don't even know they're running. The app is simple but effective, stable, intuitive. Filters are easy to maintain and the warranty got extended to 5 years when we registered them. The buying experience was simple and straightforward. Very happy so far.

I put this purifier in my bedroom and only run it at night. When I first turn it on, it typically shows TVOCs high. Since I put it on Auto, it will crank the fan up until the TVOC levels are good. The Auto setting leaves the fan running at its lowest speed when all measurements are excellent. It is very quiet at that speed. I set the display to OFF (brightness at 0%) because I like sleeping in a dark room. I have heard the fan sometimes in the middle of the night. Checking the history the next day showed the TVOC levels had risen which had caused the fan to increase its speed to bring the levels back down.. Fortunately we have not had a lot of smoke from fires this year so the PM levels have been good. Defective Model - Motor Noise
28 September 2022

I already had one Blue Air air cleaner and thought from the reviews that this would be a good model to purchase for another room. Shortly after delivery the motor would make a constant clicking noise. Tried trouble shooting but the noise continued on fan level 1, 2 and 3. Called Blue Air and asked them for a replacement which they immediately sent over. Had the second unit for about a year now and this unit has the same motor noise that the original had. Now the product is out of warranty and I'm out a few hundred dollars for a model that seems to poorly designed. Blue air is a good company, I would just suggest selecting a different model from their line up.

Fresh air and very quiet. This is a great air purifier if you are looking to reduce any smells or stuffy air. I live in an apartment with carpet, and this purifier got rid of the unknown smells and stuffiness that comes with apartment living. It connects to wifi and the app allows you to schedule times for different fan speeds and other settings like night mode (turns off the display lights). It's a very well-designed product and looks like a modern device (reminds me of Tesla or BMW).It even picks up on cooking smells, which you can track in the app. If you are chopping onions or sauteing food, this purifier will help. Great air purifier for a good night sleep!

Overall, we are very pleased and are both sleeping much better with this air purifier.Positives: We really like this air purifier. It is extremely quiet on low setting. The design is slick and it is very well made. The unit is solid but a little bit heavy. I like the air monitor strip with color codes. Filters will be easy to replace.Negatives: I would like a better explanation of air quality definitions in the manual or website. The manual is not well written and website information is inaccurate. They state the night mode can be set up manually, but this is not correct. It was a little frustrating to call 2x and have customer service reps give me directions on how to set Night Mode manually that did not work. Not sure if it even does what they claim it does
17 April 2023

Does NOT remove odors. Kind of disappointed with this air purifier. I have contemplated sending it back, except that I bought it on an exceptional sale. I don’t think I can find any purifier that does what it claims to do for that price. It is probably better then nothing. My biggest complaint is that it does not remove odors, therefore in my opinion I don’t think it is working. It is the correct size for the room (I measured the room). Other then that the app works great, the delivery was good and it is super quiet even on the highest fan setting. Which another reason I’m contemplating keeping it. I have had it for over 2 weeks still not crazy about it.

SMART Easy to use Efficient Air Purifier

Unpacked, installed in our bedroom that measures 22 x 18(396 sq ft) and seems to work well compared to our other brands we tried so far with its performance(280CADR). Unpacked, installed in our bedroom that measures 22 x 18(396 sq ft) and seems to work well compared to our other brands we tried so far with its performance(280CADR). Machine is whisper quiet at the lowest setting and can barely hear its running but can hear the fan sound when its set to highest setting but not compared to Vornado Vortex fan that is super loud that we use in summer months for air movement. It uses very less watts even on the highest setting. Filter change is very easy and uses HEPASilent Ultra filtration. Cost of replacing this smartfilter is expensive ($70) compared to other brands and there is no generic brand that fits as of this writing, but filter change is required yearly and if enrolled to automatic subscription we can get for $59. Cost is high because this smartfilter uses a smart RFID chip for real-time usage monitoring and alerts the user when its required for filter change compared to other brands.Another cool feature, is that the blueair app keep track of the air purifier progress in real time with its advanced sensors. LCD display has a blue bright light that gives details of the air quality, VOC levels, temperature and humidity. In order to control the brightness or turn off the blue light on the lcd panel, you would need to download app on your mobile as this machine is wifi /Bluetooth enabled and works best with smart phones for easy control which I love it. Color changing indicator on the LCD is a nice cool feature to know the air quality in a quick glance without browsing your phone. If its blue the air quality is great, green for good, yellow for moderate, orange for slightly pollute and red for pollute. There is also a child lock feature in the app where you can enable it to just make sure kids don’t mess with the settings.Scheduling is another great feature that we use it on ours every day. It is done through app. We just scheduled to run 1 hour before our bedtime just to be sure the air is cleaner. Comes with extended warranty at no additional cost for 5 years.Pros: Quiet, SMART, Cool design, App and voice enabled, SmartFilter, Large LCD with color change for air quality, protects from most airborne virus and bacteria.Overall, highly recommended if are in a city that is highly polluted and the AQI is not great. So happy to have this purifier installed to know that we are protected against the bacteria and virus (germshield technology) and not worry about the germs in air.

I recently purchased this purifier from Blue Air for a good price. It arrived quickly and well-packaged and was easy to set up and the box made it easy to get it up our stairs. So far, it appears to be working well. Although I cannot tell if the levels of the different air particles are correct (they've always been zero since I plugged it in) there are fluctuations in the reading for VOC which make sense and the levels of VOC eventually go back to the lowest level it can detect. It is much quieter than our old Sears/Kenmore purifier. The Blueair app I downloaded when I first got it works great. That was huge for me as I have tinnitus and at times secondary noise can interfere with hearing people speak,..not a problem with this. Its easy to learn how to use. I fully read the instructions and watched a few videos but feel you could get this up and running quickly and as you want to tweet things catch up in depth on the instructions then which is great not everyone had time to read loads of material. The functions are vast and until you have gone through the instructions a little bewildering but I found after one read it grasped it all and van now work it with ease. The app is good but temperamental at times but cools to see how it's doing. After a month of use I can genuinely say it's made a difference. I have a genetic lung disease plus acute ensophilic asthma so my chest is easily set off by pathogens. I truly believe this has helped especially with coughs and colds,. I also think my plants like it too! Our cat still gives it the stare or two but my kids think it's helped them sleep better,..they feel the air in their bedrooms is less 'musty' which after nearly two years shielding that isn't a bad thing when they are preteens between boy smells and girls body sprays the air needed a helping hand. My chest is set off less. The filters appear simple so far not needed to change but can tell it will be a doddle. With covid-19 and the stronger flu coronaviruses we will be getting this year I am relieved this now lives with us. It definitely will help us through the snotty winter months and by spring be clearing that irritating pollen out of the air. Its a large expense but when you sum up what it does and the benefits it really is a sound investment for the family. Air quality is so important and if we can improve it in anyway then this price tag in retrospect is small. You spend 3 to 4 times this to get fresh air on holiday for 14 days so why not less for constant great air quality at home? Highly recommend,..give it a name and welcome it into your family.
