Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free Scottish Oatmeal is unique because of the way it is milled. These oats are not rolled or cut, but rather, they are milled on our cool, slow-turning quartz millstones. This gives them a smooth, creamy texture that's sure to please. While oats are naturally gluten free, many oats will experience some leve of cross-contamination at the field, farm, storage, transportation, or mill level. Not ours. Our gluten free oats are tested for gluten before, during, and after processing in our dedicated gluten free facility to ensure they stay as pure as the day they sprouted from the earth. Each serving contains 6g of protein and 4g of dietary fiber, including 2g of soluble fiber. Oats are also a good source of iron. Make your oatmeal your own by adding your favorite toppings. Like all of our gluten free-labled products, this product is processed in a dedicated gluten free facility and is R5-ELISA tested to confirm its gluten free status.

Scottish oatmeal, whole grain, gluten-free (meaning production control). Delicious! Consumption is about 2 times less than "NordiC" - 1/2 cup of dry oatmeal is needed for 2 servings. The taste of classic excellent oatmeal. You need to cook for 3 minutes and wait 2 minutes. It is better not to pour all the oatmeal into boiling water at once, as I am used to with other brands, but to do it gradually, in a trickle, stirring. Then there will be no lumps. For the first time in my life, I cooked oatmeal with lumps)))). A very good buy! I want to try other types of porridge from this manufacturer. If you tried, please share your impressions.

This is the best oatmeal! Hearty, thick, warm, comforting, filling, healthy, nutritious...you name it. It's so delicious and I love to cook it with bananas and cinnamon to add a little sweetness. I buy it at Walmart in single packaging, but you can get a good deal on bulk packaging from stores like Jet or Amazon. Bob's Red Mill is an awesome company. Their products are a little pricey, and definitely a lot more expensive than Quaker oats or other similar brands, but their product quality is great and I think worth the price. Especially if you have dietary restrictions like a gluten allergy or sensitivity. Would recommend for all oatmeal lovers!

If you’re like me, you’re getting older and have become very invested in eating as healthy as possible. You may also be a value conscious person like I am. I really like rolled oats in the morning, sometimes mixed with Chia seeds or even some ground flax mixed in. It’s a gut friendly way to stay full until lunch. These taste good and definitely will fill you up. There’s an organic version of this which I also usually buy, but this product works well and taste good. You can also put it in a mason jar with some milk or yogurt and fruit, throw it in the fridge and have “overnight oats” the next day. It’s a quick and tasty to get breakfast if you have to run out the door to work.

This finer texture is more popular in our family than the rolled oats (the rolled oats are better value economically, though). It makes a quick porridge, and is great for using those last bits out of the peanut butter jar, as you can add 1/2 cup - 1 cup oats and 1/2 cup to 1 cup almond milk plus stevia & cinnamon to the jar and microwave for 3 minutes. Alternatively, put in jar and use boiling water rather than almond milk. Then leave with lid on for about 3 minutes: "instant oats" and add preferred flavours plus almond milk after. Also add to muffins and other baked goods.
I tried other brands, Irish, Now, Old Fashion Bob's Red, TJ's and none have the texture i prefer. The directions for stove top are right on, except you can turn the stove off for the last two minutesMy routine is to pour the 1/4 cup into 3/4 cup of boiling water slowly, stirring often for 8 min. Then I add fresh or frozen blueberries , stir, put lid on, turn off heat and let sit for the last 2 minutes or so.Iherb always packs well and sends out orders quickly. I like their website and system.Enjoy
If you’re like me, then you love a bowl of oatmeal in the winter time. I usually eat mine with bananas, peanut butter and honey. It’s very filling and wholesome. I think the price is well worth the product. It has lasted me about a month, and I eat oatmeal every couple of mornings. The packaging was in great condition, great quality, and it’s resealable. I prefer this kind of oatmeal over whole oats because it’s thicker and more like porridge.
Usually I buy the regular oatmeal and it is the first time i buy the Scottish one.I usually take it for breakfast and I like how it is in small parts, easier to add to the cereals.the product quality is always there, the taste is the. same and size-wise it is decent. i might end up buying it more often.
