I love this cream blush! I had to sort of search for a "cream blush". It seemed that all that was available was powder, but when your skin hits a "certain age" cream is MUCH more flattering. It goes on smoothly with a Bobbi Brown brush that I bought with it, but have found that it can be applied equally well with a damp makeup sponge. The sales person recommended the perfect color for me, Powder Pink, and I have been using it for a couple of years - I'm on my third pot! If you're feeling like that powder blush just doesn't do it for you any more, try this. If you feel it gives too creamy of a finish, just put a LITTLE translucent powder on top. It's great and stays on all day!

I have given up using all other blushes once I tried this beauty, in the shade: Powder Pink. It applies smoothly, blends beautifully, doesn't disturb the products underneath, and most importantly, LASTS ALL DAY! It also doesn't sit on the skin, it melts in and gives a soft glow with no shimmer or grease. The formula doesn't dry out like other liquid/stick blushes, and there is way less mess to deal with owing to the compact-like packaging. I apply with a dense brush with stippling motions, but fingers will do the job just fine. My only complaint is the narrow color selection. I know they discontinued some colors, and I hope they introduce new ones, because I would genuinely buy every color.

I had been using the BB crushed liquid lip on both my lips and cheeks for a while but found that it wasn't lasting as long as I'd like and had to reapply during the day/evening. As I prefer a cream/ liquid blush over powder, I decided to try the BB Pot Rouge. I'm glad I did because it has really good staying power - no need to reapply as it lasts all day. The colour is well pigmented, so a little goes a long way. I just dab a little along my cheekbones with my fingertips. The colour I use is powder pink, which isn't a pink at all. It looks quite dark (terracotta) in the compact but is a lovely warm coral colour on the skin. It gives a nice sun-kissed glow to your complexion. LOVE THIS! I'm already a big fan of the BB pot rouge having used the powder pink shade for years. I was kindly gifted the Chocolate Cherry shade to try and I must admit, at first I wasn't sure the colour would suit me. It's very autumnal and rich in colour & looks dark in the pot. However I was pleasantly surprised when I applied it. It really added warmth to my face and made me feel glowing. Even better is that the shade also suited my lips. I dabbed a little to my lips and it really lifted my whole face. I think I'll probably go back to my pale pink shade in the summer month, but for autumn & winter this is my new go to shade. Thanks BB!
I have had to try several different cream blushers since Eliz. Arden discontinued the one I have been using for a long time. This Bobbi Brown one is the best I have tried but does not spread as easily and has a greasier consistency and much stronger colour which I suspect would be better over a foundation. However I just use Elemis sensitive day cream .daily and apply the Bobbi Brown cream blusher before the cream has fully dried on my skin. As the colour is strong I find two sweeps of my second fingers across the colour is enough for me and I make two dabs on each cheek and then spread the colour across with my little fingers. The colour is Powder Pink, which is a decided coral tone, and I can achieve a nice natural colour with it as I am blue eyed and light ... MoreI have had to try several different cream blushers since Eliz. I add my eyeliner and brow pencil and lip conditioner after that. If I buy again, I have most left still, I might try a lighter colour. I chose this one from reviews I read. It is my everyday make up effort.
I bought the shade Pale Pink. It's very pigmented, you don't need a lot. Since I have no obvious cheekbones, I put it on the apples of my cheeks and blend back. Gives you a pretty and natural flush. You don't need a lot, which I found out the hard way....I've been putting a little dab on the back of my hand, to warm it, the apply sparingly with a foundation brush. It looks great on bare skin or over foundation. My skin is normal and it's very long lasting on me. Sometimes I add a little powder blush, or a touch of highlighter over it, but it works great on its own. Also makes a nice subtle lip color, which is an idea I got from a Bobbi Brown video. I am thinking of getting a peachier shade as well.
I love the Fresh Melon so much that I purchased a second one in Powder Pink and love it as well. I never used cream blush before, but now I'm hooked on these. Applied to just the apples of your cheeks, it gives a fresh young natural look. I've been working on a 'no makeup' look for around the house... which actually involves a lot of makeup (LOL), but lightly applied... mix foundation w/the face base moisturizer, this blush, mascara, and the lip tint... takes about 5 minutes and even my boyfriend commented on how I have such a nice flush to my cheeks. Works on lips too if you want a little more color than the just the lip tint or if you are out and want to minimize the products you bring w/you for touch-up. I hope BB never discontinues this and markets it more as a ... MoreI love the Fresh Melon so much that I purchased a second one in Powder Pink and love it as well. One of the reasons I first got hooked on BB is because their makeup artists showed me how to use their products in multiple ways. Maybe some makeup companies think that you'll buy less if you know how to use the products in multiple ways, but it's the opposite w/me. It gets me excited to try more.
I must admit when I first opened the shade 'chocolate cherry' I was a bit dubious of how it would look but it is truly beautiful. It gives a great pop of autumnal colour and can build up or blend out to the opacity you want. The initial intimidation of the shade was short lived and I love the warm flush of colour it gives my cheek. It it perfectly smooth too and blendable and give a designed to the skin. I tried both with dabbing with the pads of my fingers and using my brush and whisky both work I do prefer finger blending for my pot rouge. It's actually my first one and I'm so pleasantly surprised by how much I love it. For reference my skin tone is warm natural to honey depending on time of year and this could certainly work for richer skin tones too as it has ... MoreI must admit when I first opened the shade 'chocolate cherry' I was a bit dubious of how it would look but it is truly beautiful. Pot rouge was the first product I tried from Bobbi back in 2008 in the shade Rose and it was a love affair from there, I've also tried Calypso Coral, Blushed Rose, Fresh Melon, Powder Pink and Pale Pink since then. Each one lasts and lasts; a tiny amount goes such a long way. This product is absolutely amazing - it gives such a pretty flush to the cheeks yet doesn't look like makeup at all. It's so natural and makes your skin so fresh and perky. If I could only have one makeup product, it would be this. This review is simply to beg Bobbi Brown to bring back other shades of this iconic product. It's such a fan favourite - don't punish long time Bobbi Brown fans by drastically reducing the selection available with one of their favourites. It's such a fan favourite - don't punish long time Bobbi Brown fans by drastically reducing the selection available with one of their favourites. The line of pot rouge now only includes three colours and that is barely enough for my fair skin. There are not enough colours for deeper skin tones. I don't understand why this line was cut back as cream blush and glowy skin are currently a huge makeup trend. There are loads of powder blush shades available, yet only three cream blush shades. I was sad to see two of the shades I suit the most go for good. Blushed rose complimented my dark features so beautifully, and Calypso Coral was such a pretty colour on me. Fresh melon is lovely, but just isn't the same. Please bring back more colours, even if they're limited edition! And bring back more shades for the sake of being inclusive - the shade selection is only suitable for fairer complexions.
Love this product! been looking for something exactly like this for a while to go under a gloss or moisturizing lip tint. It’s great for that or on the lips alone. turns out I also love it as a blush. easy to work with and easy to blend. can be bold or very subtle (diffuse with beauty blender if you use too much on cheeks). the blush lasts, I purchased in chocolate cherry, it’s a beautiful color…very similar to Merlot. The packaging is really nice too along with the mirror inside, seems like the product is going to last a while because a little goes a long way!
