This is my second pair of Bobbi boots. I walked for miles with the dog the first time I wore them with no problems at all, and I even do agility in them now that the field is getting muddy. They're super comfortable, great grip and I feel safe in them walking over slippery surfaces and in the clay mud that we have around where I live. My last pair of Bobbis are JUST starting to look a little used, after over 3 years of taking a serious beating, they have been out on wellie holder in all the elements, sat in the car boot in frosts and heat, and have walked MILES with the dogs across all terrain, and then transfer nicely into the pub for a good Sunday dinner :). I am still struggling for boots to be comfortable. My daughter also has Merry Boots and has encouraged me to perserve to see if they 'wear in' and become more comfortable. She is trying to help me with suggestions to make more comfortable ie thinner socks. At present I am disappointed but hopefully will improve. Have worn twice only and now avoiding wearing. Will now go and buy some other shoes due to discomfort of Merry Boots. My daughter says when its winter I will appreciate them. Sorry for this feedback as I was so hoping they would be wonderful as I thought others had experienced. My daughter has suggested I don't return them buet keep trying to wear.

Three of us purchased these boots for a trip to the UK , in Winter , 2023-2024.They were pretty much used every day over three- four weeks and never felt cold or wet in them .They were relatively comfortable and great for walking the cobblestone streets and slippery snow and the occasional puddle .The only minus and I’m not sure anyone else would be consider this a minus , but with the almost constant daily use , they did get a bit smelly and a little sweaty ,but I’m not sure if any other shoe / boot would be any different.I do not regret purchasing them . I choose a size one up and placed a scholl liner in them for comfort as I had a pre existing injury to one foot and used thick wooly socks . The boots are very comfortable, go on and off easily, and are perfect for gardening and for times when you don't want your shoes spoiled by the weather. My boots just happened to arrive the day before a week of horrible wet weather, which gave them a really good workout! It was much more comfortable walking through long wet grass and mud with my feet warm and snug in these enclosed ankle boots rather than in other waterproof footwear like crocs. I’m planning to buy the Fergie boots at some point in the future, just need to research the leg height as I’m only 5’3” tall and tall boots often are uncomfortable on me as they dig into the back of my legs as they are too high for where my knee bends. Hoping this is not the case with Fergie but, if so, will possibly purchase Darcy instead.

At first I thought my foot would come off with my boot but after two wears the boots stretched enough that I could remove my boots easily. I then thought if they'd stretched this much in two wears would they become "loosy goosy" but they did not. They remained a perfect fit. I'm in and out of the house all day so its a huge plus that the boots are close fitting but easy enough to remove hands free.However, although they are comfortable I find I need extra cushioning innersoles as I wear the boots in the garden all day, almost every day. I absolutely love my Bobbi Ankle Boots. I ordered them before heading off to the UK (where it is cold, miserable and rainy a lot of the time) and they arrived so quickly! I ordered the boots in my regular European size and they are a tiny but big but I’ve popped in an inner sole and my wooly socks means they fit perfectly!! My feet have been warm and dry and they are not too heavy so can be worn all day. The black on black look quite smart for a rain boot! They have good grip and I haven’t felt like I was going to slip in the rainy conditions. I was recommended them from a friend and was my best purchase before heading overseas. I’m sure they will be great in the dreary Melbourne winter too!! Highly recommend.
Love, love, love. More than half the price of Doc Martens and Birkenstock. Snug and warm. The cold from the ground does not seep through the soles like with Stutterheim's. As a retired person, smart enough to be worn out and casual enough to be worn daily. Great ankle support. Loved the online foot measuring method which resulted in perfect fit. Other online shoe sellers do not have this capability which makes me nervous to buy online. The Stutterheims I bought were waaaaayyyyyy too big! Sadly, daughter is same size as me and appropriated the first pair of Merry Peoples I bought for myself, requiring me to buy a second pair! Merry People are my kind of people!
These boots are super comfy and I'm in love with them. I went from regularly wearing converses to regularly wearing my new boots! This has been perfect during winter and especially on a rainy day. I usually wear loud colours but not in shoes so I struggled to pick a colour. I didn't want boring black sodecided on chocolate & brown after debating colours with my teenage daughter and it's been the best decision as it goes with everything I wear. I also ordered the wrong size because I'm normally a 37 but the volumental scan said 36, however the site also says to go with the size you regularly wear so I erred on the side of caution and ordered a 37 but they were unfortunately too big - so I guess the lesson is to trust the scan!
