good to mix it with your regular dough but beware the gluten level is lower than usual flour. I usually replace or mix it with regular whole wheat bread flour. The texture of the flour is very fine and it’s great to develop gluten structure in bread. It adds a tad of sourness that no other flour can replicate. The dough will be very sticky. Knead the dough until it comes together in one ball . 3: Remove the dough from the bowl, punch down and divide into 6 sections. form the bagel 4: bake 10 mins , done ! Easy and fast. I also like how the packaging is resealable. I will continue to buy this in the future. The benefit of spelt flour speck of itself Combined with oat flour to make "all-purpose flour" for people like me who follow Dr. D'Adamo's Blood Type A food plan.

I use this for baking instead of hard wheat flour. The taste is great and it’s a good size for the price. The ingredients are good quality and natural without added strange ingredients that I can’t read so I recommend this. Bobs red mill is generally a trusted brand for me so I can usually buy their products without worrying about the quality.

I've recently begun baking bread and was looking for a whole grain flour option. This flour is high quality and great tasting!!! I loved the flavor and texture. I only wish that they sold this in a larger size since I use almost the whole package for one loaf of bread. Other than that, I highly recommend giving it a try if you're a bread baker like me.

Great for sourdough!

I use this spelt flour as an ingredient in my sourdough recipe. I have made some delicious loaves with this! It adds more flavor than just bread flour and whole wheat flour. I used to bake a loaf pretty much once a week and this bag still lasted quite a while (I would get more specific, but I didn't keep track). I like that the packaging is tough enough not to rip like paper bags do (how many other flours are packaged).

It's Bob's Red Mill premium quality in a single bag, only this time it's spelt and it's whole grain and organic. The benefit is it's supposed to be better for you than wheat - both which contain gluten - yet spelt is supposed to have less gluten content overall. Could be worth trying if you're gluten intolerant (not celiac of course) but all I know is this flour is just delish and it's not that expensive for what you buy for the size.

Really adds flavor to your sourdough

I've been using Bob's Red Mill Spelt for years to give my sourdough loaves a nutty flavor that makes the bread almost sweet. I mix with Graham Flour at a ratio of 1/3, and the whole flours with white at about 40%. Very good quality, nothing in there that shouldn't be there, and long-lasting so long as you don't let your storage area get too warm in the summer. I keep my long-term stock in the basement. Oh, and one really great point is the velcro-like bag sealing system that Bob's uses. I wish this was an industry standard. So much better than Ziplock style bags.

The Rich Flavor of Small Batch Spelt Bread

I love this flour! I only eat organic foods and wanted to make my own bread. I'm still learning about bread making, as I've been avoiding gluten for 20 years. But, Bob's Red Mill makes it possible to enjoy bread once in a while. The rich flavor of this ancient grain has been my favorite for a long time. I chose to make small loaves, so I could freeze what I wasn't going to use right away.

Very good product! The taste is very nice, sweet and resembles a nut flavor. I just love this spelt flour. The quality is very nice and has no fillers but 1 pure ingredient. I love to bake some healthy alternatives with this flour. You must try it if you have not yet.

Wonderful product

as I've stated in another product as I've stated in another product of of Bob's I this is the first time I'm trying it and it is great I really recommend it. I used to use another brand 10 years ago that worked. That they started coming out with a man-made looking product and it would turn out like a brick. And I've made bread for years by hand. I really recommend this product this is true sprouted spelled and it will turn out great. If you've never worked with bread it is different than using white flour but if you learn how to work with it it is great it tastes great.
