This is a great idea in theory, but in reality just doesn't hit the mark. Firstly it is only ok for a black coffee and even then it's a bit awkward to use, if you want milk you will have to pour into another cup anyway. As just a cup with the other lid not bad, as just a plunger ok. I kind of wish I would've just bought a standard plunger to be honest

At last a travel mug that does it all.

Great mug with added bonus of a cafetière. Ground coffee doesn’t contaminate the ‘brew’ and stays hot for ages. No more needing to stop for a shop bought coffee. The extra lid is useful although but if you want to have a further cheeky brew later can get an extra coffee, bonus! Perfect for the only coffee drinker in the house who needs his coffee in the morning.

Decent Portable Coffee maker

Pleased with what was supplied and seems to be quality product and well packaged. Two lids so one can be in wash I guess. Wanted a portable solution to coffee on the go as work coffee horrible and this seems to fit the bill so far. Adding milk a bit problematic unless one has a cup to pour out into as the grounds stay in bottom and stew. First use I got a squirt over me and the floor as the pressure built up and I must have pushed too hard on plunger. Much looser now and I was warned in the manual so take note. No harm done fortunately.

Good coffee at uni

I bought it for my son, at uni they offer instant coffee, boiling water, sugar and milk so he puts a spoon of good ground coffee and vanilla or caramel syrup toss it in his backpack and prepare good coffee instead of instant. Works really well. He’s very happy.

Great but not perfect

I bought this for my husband to save him time making his coffee to take to work in the mornings. Its so handy that you can make the filter coffee directly in the cup. However he has said that the filter doesnt push all the way to the bottom so qute a lot of the coffee is stuck under the filter. He also said some granules of coffee still come through the filter. Also just to clarify this cup is clear with black trim. I thought it was silver and copper from the photos!

Interesting gift idea for a French coffee fan

Purchased this as a gift for a colleague as he loves french press coffee. Seemed like he really liked the gift idea. The first one that arrived was broken unfortunately, so I had to go and exchange for a new one in store.

Must Have

I have been using these for years now they are a fabulous product, whoever thought of them is a genius! Awesome to take travelling with as well for use at home.

Overhyped & Disappointing

Leaks and doesn’t filter coffee properly. Liquid sits under the plunger, but can’t be drunk. Not worth the money, would rather spend more money or time searching for a better quality travel press.

The travel press set which doesn’t travel

This item is really easy to use, but it makes a very weak coffee - nowhere near the quality of my other quick coffee maker which makes good tasting coffee and you can use fine grounds.The problem is, that it uses coarse ground coffee and the plunger does not go down far enough to force extraction of more flavour, unless you use tons more coffee and you can’t use finer ground coffee, because the plunger is not good enough to stop grounds mixing in with the liquid.When compared to my other quick coffee maker, there is no competition.I am sorry I bought it, because it does not make anything like a decent coffee. It will sit in my cupboard because it’s not fit for purpose.I wish I could get my money back.
