This gym set is fantastic. It's perfect for my wife and me to exercise together. We haven't needed the additional weight set that increases each stack to 206 pounds yet, but we might in the future. The 5-pound add-on is useful for increasing by half a stack, especially beneficial for leg lifts where the weight doubles. When my daughter and son-in-law visited, they tried it out and had a more effective workout than they ever did with their free weights.

After a thorough evaluation of several universal home gyms, I selected the Body-Solid G9S Multi Station Home Gym. My evaluation included a on-line chat with an Idea Home Gym representative who answered my product questions and also corrected an online processing issue immediately. They provided an excellent white glove service which was well worth the cost and was ordered/installed within 10 days. I love my home gym system and will consider Ideal Home Gym for future home gym needs.

Received the equipment within a week from ordering. Took my wife & I about a week to assemble. We took our time and worked on it in the evenings after work. Instructions were easy to understand. We had a couple quotes for someone to assemble ($600-$900) but figured we could do it and that it would help us to become familiar with the equipment and how to use it. We love the Body Solid G9S System. It’s everything you need to get & stay in shape from the convenience of your home. Joe & the staff at Strength Warehouse are very knowledgeable and made our purchase very easy. Highly recommend them if you’re considering a home gym system or any type of exercise equipment.

The gym took roughly 18 hours to assemble. One person focused on finding the parts and reading the instructions, while the other handled the assembly. Having a mechanic for assembly made the process smoother. I'm really impressed with the gym. Changing weights and adjusting the seat is incredibly convenient. My husband and I often work out simultaneously on different stations. The pulley system works seamlessly. Overall, we're extremely satisfied with the gym.
We are currently using the G9S and we took our time putting it together. There are issues with identifying parts and pieces due to them not being labeled (especially the plastic pieces). One of the upgraded pulleys got torqued during install of the cable and had to replace with a plastic. There needs to be a few more snap links to ensure you can attach all the cables and accessories. Still trying to get the one set of wieghts to fall flush. It is solid and works well even for people over 50.
Make sure you have a level spot with plenty of room. This is a machine like in a fitness club. Sturdy. Lots of different workout options. But it does take some time to assemble. Don't rush it. You don't want to miss putting a part on it. Be deliberate. I put it together by myself, which is ok if you have prior experience assembling stuff. If you're not that comfortable with turning wrenches, reading directions and lifting pieces into place, assemble as a team. Two people are plenty. It took me alone about 4 days. It comes completely disassembled. But, the upside of putting it together is that you know how it works too. The directions are well done. Just follow step by step. I searched and researched for a home gym to purchase and came across this beauty! And it had EVERYTHING i would use at the gym. It did take us about 3 full days to put together but we DID IT! You have to carefully follow the directions and be sure NOT to skip ahead for Any reason or youll have to go back and redo a step. This is a very high quality machine that operates just like high end gym equipment. This came on a good sized pallet packaged very nice with no damage to any item. Putting this together is a chore. A second person would be helpful although I did do it by myself. You will need a large area to unpackage and lay all the items out. There is little color dots to group the parts for different stations. I would say plan on 7 to 11 hours to assemble. The machine operation is very smooth and feels well made. It is about 6 months in with regular use and not a single problem. Very happy with this machine!
The worst gym ever. The gym is not built as stated and certainly not for those who are short - under 5'-1". The lifetime warranty, in my opinion is a scam. The gym was shipped and delivered AFTER cancellation; it was delivered broken when I was out of state. 4 months later - the gym is still broken, no operable leg pad on the hip abducter machine, so it is unuseable; the cables stick, and do not glide, it is not smooth as it should be, the weights rattle, the weight pin falls out, the gym is a dangerous hunk of metal. So, to say the least, Body-Solid did not honor the lifetime warranty they promise and did not even fix wat was delivered broken. Body-Solid also fails to respomd to emails left on their website.The reviews, in my opinion, are questionable. ... MoreThe worst gym ever.
