I've used both the Perfect Amino uncoated and the newer coated tablets. The coated tablets are easier to swallow, although the uncoated weren't that difficult to swallow for me. Each tablet is equivalent to 6 grams of protein, but has no calories compared to about 4 calories per gram of protein. I've read that a person should eat 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight if they are trying to build muscle is a good rule of thumb. For me, that's about 170 grams of protein daily. I need to lose weight and for my age, height and activity level. MyFitnessPal says I should limit daily calories to about 1600 daily. 170 grams of protein x 4 calories per gram = 680 calories from protein in some form. I did not take them in the hospital as the nurses plied me with other medications constantly, but as soon as I got home I started up again. Four months after surgery I was declared a 9-10 on the kick-*** scale by my doctor. I eat a plant based diet so I need the PA's to complete my daily protein needs also.

Before workout + 30g protein post-workout

I believe I’ve experienced amazing results with these amino acid pills! I’m about 125 lbs and I take 5 before working out (usually right before I leave for the gym) and then post-workout I drink a Premier Protein shake which has 30g of protein. I then try to get as much extra protein as I can throughout the day. The recovery support is legit. I would be limping without it. For those over 40 who need extra recovery support I also highly recommend these pills along with 10 minutes in the hot tub or bath post-workout and then ice packs for knees/shoulder/back whatever you’ve worked hard for 15 minutes at some point during the day.

Helps with blood sugar

These are quality, not bad additives, and I can't get enough protein in, most of it is junk out there so to fill the gaps I take this. I never comment on packaging because I find it irrelevant unless it causes leaks but I love the packaging. We can only break down so much meat or veg protein at once, many kidneys can't handle the waste products from these proteins, so I love this addition. I do need to order a larger size as I neeed 10 a day. IT is a hassle to swallow but get the coated. Best taken away from fats for absorption. I benefit by noticing my blood sugar doesn't drop as hard or fast. I recommend.
