The only reason I bought these bogs boots was for the rating in the cold which was -60 degree C (or -72 F). My feet always get cold during winter no matter the type of boots I purchased in the past. My wife convince me to buy a pair which I did. I was surprised of the comfort when I first wore them. The grip is super in the snow. On Wednesday evening December 23rd, I was invited to a party outside with a few inches of snow on the ground. The temperature was -18 degree C. My feet started to get cold after about 2 hours and after 4 hours my toes were frozen. It is a good pair of boots made with quality material but unfortunately it is not rated like it says it would. Bogs makes the finest boots, hands down. Easy on/off, waterproof, and weather ready. I've owned Bogs for many years. I recently purchased a new pair of Bozeman Tall boots. I love the seamless shell which should provide years and years of waterproof use. The handles on either side provide for ease of getting in the boot. There is a small ledge at the back of the boot which you can step on with your opposite foot to make removing the boot a breeze. I use my Bogs for snow shoveling, taking the dogs for walks in some pretty muddy areas, and for trudging though slush and shallow water. They are perfect for this. I bought bogs because a coworker recommended them as a great shoe for all wet related activities. Thus far I've taken them on a swampy hike, I've ridden my bike in the rain wearing them and have wear them walking on a couple inches of snow, and no complains whatsoever. Strongly built, making me feel comfortable in all situations not afraid of sludge or muskeg anymore. Just what I wanted so I am very happy.

I have Degenerative Disc Disease. I do not bend well. Putting on shoes is a task. I am still as active as possible and occasionally need to wear a boot to at least try and help out. I've tried regular rubber boots. If you want them to be wearable they are difficult to pull on and off. I've tried side zipper boots and oversized boots. Nothing has worked. I debated between both heights of Bogs and opted for the taller Bozeman because of the reach factor. I can fairly easily pull them on and the hard nub on the heel allows for me to take them off without assistance. They are a snug fit and walk like a boot, not sloppy. There is no better gumboot.As a pressure cleaner, I have been wearing Bogs full time at work for seven years now. Currently onto my fourth pair.Comfortable, warm in winter and the rubber compound used on the soles provides excellent grip especially on both colorbond and tiled roofs.
I've had these boots for 2 winters now. I wear them nearly every day for farm chores during the cold months. They are the most comfortable winter boots I've ever worn by a long shot. They are not very tall but that doesn't bother me as I usually put my coveralls over top. They are very warm and grip well in most winter conditions. A bit slippery on Ice but what boots aren't? Just now there are starting to crack where the neoprene meets the rubber at the front but I feel they have lasted very well for how much they get used.

I'm sure these boots saved my feet from some extent of trench foot as we were out in the field for 12-14 hours a day hiking through bogs and wetlands.No issue getting across high standing water as these are completely waterproof to the lower rim of the boot handles. Don't expect too much flexibility for your ankle areas. It's a fair trade-off.Handles are convenient for quickly grabbing the boots or to lace rope around & onto your sack. Sometimes this meant I couldn't walk across water at this depth, though to be fair, around this height I would look for other equipment solutions. Especially if it is a frequent requirement.I normally wear size 8 to 9 and the size 8 of these boots fit snug with a pair of wool socks. Certainly warm in the summer but to no fault of the boots. They are hard to take off, but I found that I could step onto the heel of one boot to loosen that foot out, do the same for the other foot, and then take both off easily.
This is my third pair of bog boots. Overall, they’re great boots, BUT they need to do more to make them more durable. The neoprene can delaminate and separate from both heels of the shoe.The outer material can also sometimes tear easily. That said, Bogs is aware of the problem and the hang tags in this new Bog boot says there’s a 100% increase in durability. This latest version appears to be tougher ( fingers crossed).Aside from the durability issue, they’re a great, comfortable outdoor work boot especially for muddy, wet conditions!
