Very happy with my purchase from AOL. I was updating several appliances as I was preparing for my new kitchen and the rangehood and other items were all Bosch. The operating system is simple to use as well as being really quiet and efficient. I would recommend.

Product recently purchased through Appliances Online and installed.Build quality reasonable, but compared to other Bosch home appliances purchased in the past 12 months, the unit is decidedly overpriced for the materials and components. It should include as standard with the appliance, the activated carbon filter - this is a fundamental component of the appliance used in recirculate mode. The additional charge of AUD$ 63.00 by Bosch for the small piece of filter and flimsy attachment bracket "accessory", borders on extortionate, particularly when the instruction is to replace the filter every 3 months!Why are only 8 fastening screws provided when there are 12 screw holes? Works well, but the sound totally dominates the kitchen. It's hard to create a relaxed experience where you can chat and cook. I avoid using it because it's just not pleasant.

This under cupboard range hood looks nice and does not take up too much of the overhead cupboard space, but that where the positives stop.Whilst it is incredibly easy to use, the product fails when it comes to noise levels. Even on setting 1 it sounds like a small aircraft taking off.Prior to purchasing, I viewed and tested the product in store (where I can honestly say it did not appear to be overly loud). It remains unclear if the store Rangehood had been switched on and off a lot, or if the store itself was too loud.If noise is an issue for you, maybe consider a different Range.
Unit works ok but only recently installed. Is overpriced for the materials and components. It should include the activated carbon filter as a component, NOT as an overpriced optional extra.
Basic to mid-range rangehood. Not as good as the canopy style ones but this is what fit in our kitchen. Some people complain that this and other range hoods are loud.What we found out when installing this is:*It was really nice and quiet when we turned it on while it was sitting on the bench top pre-install.*We had to reduce the outlet to 100mm with an adapter as that was the size of the old one. - this created much more noise and less suction* We then had to use a flexible tube as they didn't quite align = even more noise and less suction.If installed with the correct diameter vent I believe this would be nice and quiet. As it is it's a bit nuisance noise vise. Not the fault of the fan though.
The Bosch 53cm Serie 2 Under Cupboard Rangehood looks great in my recent kitchen renovation, with all the other Bosch appliances. It is easy to use with the functions; fan and light, however it is really loud especially being in a townhouse. I do recommend this brand however the loudness could put you off if it's inserted in a smaller kitchen.

The quiet and powerful fan and lighting are all we desired in our rangehood...
IT IS VERY LOUD FOR THE PRICE AND BRAND WOULD EXPECT IT NOT TO BE SO LOUD EASY TO INSTALL FITS FLUSH CAN WAS THE FILTERS IN THE DISH WASHER THIS THE 2nd one I HAVE PURCHSED FOR RENOS LIGHTING IS GOOD SUCJTION IS GOOD DO NOT JUST LET IT BLOW INTO UR ROOF SPACE MAKE SURE IT VENTS TO THE OUTSIDE
