Today we installed this cooktop and used it for both lunch and dinner preparation. After reading the instructions provided, we found the cooktop easy, almost intuitive, to use. We still have to tweak what temperature settings suit, but our first efforts were well rewarded.Excellent Cooktop

Love the different timer functions. If it's your first induction cooktop, don't forget you may need to invest in new saucepans etc ;)

The cooktop looks amazing, the ceramic glass is super strong, the controls are really easy to use and figure out. Cooking is probably better than domestic gas cooktops. The control is great but it does depend on you having the right cookware. Good stainless steel and induction compatible non-stick are must haves. Factor that into the cost when changing. The possible high consumption (energy) is something to think about too and making sure your Electrical design has been considered. The only reason for the 4 star is the edge design. The stainless steel trim / profile, looks great but has a very tiny <1mm, curve under it. So on a flat stone bench, anything liquid can get under it and a cloth or sponge would be too thick to get to it. Also, any slight imperfections in your benchtop would cause the liquid to go under into the cavity. The manual is unclear but I suggest getting the extra foam trim and place it on all four sides. This is in addition to the foam that is already attached to the unit. Place it right on the edge so it stops food / liquids getting under the lip.

Love this induction cooktop. Wifi connection automates the rangehood, it is surprisingly simple to use. Wasn't expecting to enjoy using a cooktop quite so much, and although its been a learning curve with different cookware bases and their responses, it hasnt taken long to figure it out. And the power boost is stunning for quick heatup
I had always been a believer in gas cooking. Flame was more responsive than electricity. But I was always concerned about safety risks associated with gas. Moved to induction a few weeks agoto overcome safety risks and discovered the incredible benefits of induction. Responsive, fast, programmable, energy efficient, easily cleaned as well as being safer. Add all of that to the Bosch heritage of quality and I can't imagine why anyone would consider anything else.
After many years of gas, I switched to this with our new renovation. It is really good. It takes some getting used to and finding cookware is difficult. Some of the top brand items I have had to return due to poor performance. Cheap stuff from Woolworths seems to work well.If I had to say, gas is probably best from a pure cooking and instant temperature control point of view BUT, when considering all the extra functions that are available and especially the cleaning ease, it is a no brainer. Induction is FAR superior. This particular unit is fantanstic. I love the feature where you can slide the pot or pan backwards and forwards on the multizone and quickly get 3 different and selactable settings.. It is amazing for cooking sauces etc.Great appliance and I ... MoreAfter many years of gas, I switched to this with our new renovation. It is really good. We bought another cheap brand of induction cooktop to see if we would like the induction cooking style compared to Gas. After making the decision to swap we brought the Bosch PXV975DV1E Induction Cooktop. This product is amazing and does not even compare to the other brand we bought as a trial. It is quiet and quick with so many great features. Best product we have bought for our new home :-)
Our PXV975DV1E cook top is sleek, effective and versatile. Appliances online made a prompt delivery and would have taken away gas cook top but we saved that fir the installing electrician. This cook top required new wiring, so installation was expensive, but it's well worth it.
We bought this cooktop to replace an older induction cooktop. Love the extended zones that can fit all size pans. Not a huge fan of the display but easy to use once you work it out. Easy to clean and works really well.
We absolutely love our induction cooktop. There is plenty of space for many pots to cook simultaneously. Food cooks really fast. Water in a small pot boils ina minute. Easy to clean .
