Bosch GTS 635-216 (0601B42041) 1600W 216mm (8.5") Table Saw

The GTS 635-216 Professional is the compact, yet powerful, table saw for multi-purpose use. Its 1,600 W motor power is ideal for a cutting height up to 70 mm and for a rip capacity up to 635 mm. The low weight of only 22 kg, its ergonomic handles, and protective on-board storage make transport genuinely easy and safe. The table saw works extremely precisely and, due to its integrated slide carriage, table-widener, and table extension, it is exceptionally versatile.

A sound purchase, just what I needed to produce some accurate work in hard woods.

Very pleased with this saw, have only used it a few times so far but compares favourably with my (sold) De Walt table saw and saving approx 200 . Plenty of power, maybe the fence could be a bit easier to position but early days. Looks a good buy!

Bad quality

I am quite upset about the table saw quality. It is terrible. 1. The gap is too big between angel guide with guide groove. 2. The expansion are not same level with main table. 3. The paint is pelled off at table insert.

Excellent build quality for the price

After tediously comparing nearly every saw in this price range (available off-the-shelf in NZ), and buying and returning a cheaper one (Ozito), I settled on the GTS635. Compared to its peers ($400-$800), the build quality is excellent.Pros:- The table is actually flat and does not flex under stress, unlike most others.- Metal tube reinforcing the body (most of these low cost options are all plastic underneath.)- The fence is square (vertically and horizontally) and locks on both ends. It does not move once locked.- The extension slides smoothly, stays square, and is perfectly level with the table.- The blade guard has a quick-release! And when off, the riving knife sits lower than the blade, allowing for depth cuts and allowing the blade to stow flush ... MoreAfter tediously comparing nearly every saw in this price range (available off-the-shelf in NZ), and buying and returning a cheaper one (Ozito), I settled on the GTS635. The fence can be clamped below the table.- Table is flat and clear when in “storage” mode. This is great for me because I can set stuff on top of it without worrying about damaging anything.- Lock-out cover on the power switchCons:- Fence can be locked into a non-square position if you’re careless. Usually I’ll just do a sanity check with a rafter square, takes 2 seconds.- Heavier than its peers (though I like to think this is due to the extra metal in the body and table.)Ultimately, I am beyond pleased with this saw. I mainly bought it for its size and portability, but the solid fence and large table extension means it can hold its own against the big jobsite saws.

Excellent, effective, value for money, quality

This is one hell of a great saw. Very powerful, infinitely adjustable. Build quality is fantastic. Im not a carpenter, i just bought it for DIY, but i found myself after setting it up spending 2 hours just chopping and sawing wood, making daft shapes, its so easy and satisfying!

Good solid saw
19 July 2023

Bought to replace a homemade jig for cutting ply and it’s been a game changer, easily and accurately cutting parallel boards. Having only used a table saw a couple of times it was quite intimidating to start with but settled into it quickly. It’s quite well mannered and you can feel really quickly if there’s anything awry with your set up.The stand was easy to put together and with one adjustable foot sits securely on my wonky floor - very glad I bought the stand too as my half baked other plan would not have been helpful.

The saw is excellent, worth every penny. Axminster tool's where great to deal with. Very fast service to me in Ireland. I recommend them to everyone.

Having never been able to even draw a straight line, and never ever been a woodworker I needed a tool that could cut a straight line this tool does exactly that and probably much more.

Great small work shop table saw
30 April 2021

I’ve been researching table saws for ages. Okay the casing is plastic but the table and frame are metal and the whole thing is robust making it light enough to move about. I was impressed by the accuracy of the fence guide rail, just a tweak needed when changing blades. Well pleased with my purchase and the prompt service.

Professional quality with a small price tag
9 November 2021

I'm impressed; the GTS 635-216 can hold its own against the famous big brother, the GTS10 despite the much lower price tag. It should give you years of great service both on a job site and/or in the workshop. Ideal for the DIYer.
