Another great product from Bosch

The cooktop looks stylish and is easy to clean. Functionality is optimal and instinctive (I don't like having to read instruction manuals!) and the controls respond quickly. Boost function works really well particularly if you started cooking dinner late...again! Highly recommended product.

Best Cooktop

I have only had this cooktop a couple of weeks but it is the best I have ever used. It is so easy to navigate and has great features. If my husband calls me to help him and i have something cooking on the stove I can pu the timer on to turn the hotplate off in a few mintues time and go out to help without worrying that the food will burn or boil dry before I return. If I need to boil or stir something for a specific time I can put the timer on to tell me when the time is up. The extra boost to boil water quickly works great too. I found the food cooks very quickly. o knobs to get in the way either. I love showing it to the family and friends who have been able to come over now that the COVID restrictions have lifted a little. This is the best. Thank you Bosch!

Glass top scratched within 2 months

I have had a glass top cooktop many times and this is the first time with Bosch. Extremely dissatisfied with how badly and easily it has scratched. I have tried so hard to look after the cooktop, trying not to move the pans by not sliding them across the cooktop. But it still has scratched. I never had this with my old one. So disappointed I expected more from Bosch. The actual appliance works well. Love how you can turn on the two burners to combine into one. Just hate the appearance now due to the scratches. Would I get another one, the answer is no.

Great cooktop
18 July 2018

Bought this one as replacement of our previous 80cm Bosch ceramic cooktop. While it has more or less the same layout, the new controls are fantastic and very quick and easy to use. However, the most impressive improvement over the old one we owned is the Boost function which is available on the majority of the cooking zones. It speeds up the heating of e.g. a pot of water significantly and closes the gap to an induction cooktop re the speed tremendously. Great feature and great cooktop, we are very happy with it.

Great design, but scratches easily
5 January 2021

We love the design and the functionality of the cooktop, it does everything it is supposed to very well. However we are very disappointed in the glass top itself. We have been fastidiously careful using it, and cleaned it dilligently after any spills, but we still have marks we cannot remove. And this is after only 4 months of use.We chose exclusivley Bosch for our whole kitchen and laundry, but must say, I wouldn't buy another Bosch cooktop now.

Love our new Bosch cooktop. It replaced a Bosch which lasted overv20byears. A very reliable and great product.

Love the product but disappointed by lack of information provided by The Good Guys when we ordered & paid for the product & installation. Electricians came out & told us we didnt have the right Ampage to install & said we needed a new cable. Asked them to give us a quote. Nearly fainted when that cost was an extra $1148 the sales person at Good Guys had not warned us of this possibility. The young guys from the installing electrical company were fantastic BUT did not leave the property in the same way theyd found it. Left open a door to under the house. Opened and left open, the door to our Meterbox and now we cant get it to shut. We recommend the Bosch Cooktop but suggest you engage your own installer or simply just ASK QUESTIONS.

Loving my new cooktop
27 August 2021

Really enjoying the new cooktop so far. Our old ceramic cooktop had got quite scratched and marked over its life so I've been conscious of being careful with this one - so far so good. It's been really easy and intuitive to use and the heating control and flexibility are great. Particularly love the touch controls and ease of cleaning.

Need to be aware that your wiring is strong enough
7 August 2018

I would have given it a 5 star, if it wasn't for the heartache I had to go through with changing the main power wire that comes from the main board. The Blanco I had was a 6500 watt cooktop, as for the Bosch at 11 300 watts I believe, it was a major shock to my system when the electrician told me that if I was to hook it up to the current wiring I would not be able to use more than 2 burners at a time.I needed to change the whole wiring, and being a 2 story house it wasn't that easy.Excellent cooktop, now that its connected and working with all burners firing I am loving it. I would recommend this cooktop in a flash but buyers need to be made aware to check their system if it can take such a powerful cooktop.

No more gas
27 June 2022

Two months ago we disconnected the gas to our home & went totally electric. We did this for enviromental, health & cost reasons & we have solar panels. The last appliance we changed from gas to electric was the cooktop where we installed a Bosch 80 cm Serie 8 Electric cooktop (not induction). We have been using it for two months now & we love it. It looks fantastic, very quick & easy to clean compared to the gas cooktop, heats up quickly with a large range of adjustable heating elements & temperature settings. The only minor downside is that ther are a couple of marks/scratches left on the glass top from the base of the pots however the cooktop still looks outstanding. We would recommend this cooktop.

Unreliable
1 July 2022

This model was recommended to me by my new home builder 5 years ago. The electrics failed within a year and it was replaced under warranty. Now 4 years on the electrics have totally failed and I have removed the unit. This is a blessing in a way because the surface was severely marked and became unsightly. The Bosch technology is very advanced and it has all the bells and whistles, but that's no good if it won't turn on. I've replaced it with another brand with more basic functions and less to go wrong. In addition I phoned the service number and ended up in the UK. They referred me to a designated electrician 40 km from me who was not interested in travelling the distance. Sorry Bosch - very disappointed all round and I very rarely write a bad review on anything.
