Not possible :-(What you instead need to do is project the object to the floor and the same with the other end and then measure between the two points (which is nothing but a direct measure) - very time consuming and potentially inaccurate.I can understand that to do a double indirect horizontal measure would mean you would have to hold the unit in the same space location while taking the measure but even so, it should be an option (even with a warning about a slight inaccuracy).There is a double indirect vertical measure (probably because you are not moving the unit to take two vertical points of measure)

I bought this a week ago specifically because this webpage claimed he accuracy of this unit was 10 times more accurate than cheaper units. Officially it is not and has the same 1.5 mm/measurement meter. It likely is more accurate over shorter distances, however it is not 0.15mm/meter as claimed here.
