This battery talks to your Bosch charger and your Bosch cordless tool. It optimises battery life and tool performance. You can get cheap copies, but as in all things, they will not perform as well as the original by about a third. I have tested this myself and found this to be true.

Bosch 5.0Ah 18V Battery

A worthwhile addition to the toolbox for those power hungry tools like cordless grinders and circular saws. Yes they do bigger capacity versions, but sometimes its better and cheaper to buy two lower capacity versions. When the 5.0Ah came out you could almost buy two 4.0Ah for the same money, which equates to 8.0Ah vs 5.0Ah, or more realistically a slightly longer runtime. Last time I looked, you can do the same with the 5.0Ah batteries vs the higher capacity version, so its something to consider. Mike

Bosch Professional 18v Li-ion CoolPack Battery 5.0Ah 1600A002U5

This battery is the same size as the 4Ah battery and very slightly heavier so an ideal replacement. I use this in a Bosch GAS 18v Vacc which depletes batteries fairly quickly. The performance is noticeably improved with this battery.

I recently purchased the 5Ah Bosch 18v li-ion after a couple of my old batteries died. They both overheated on a particularly punishing job and wouldn’t charge again. The 5Ah is good value for money and lasts a long time.From recent research I found out that the 5Ah battery still has the 18650 cells, which are fairly old technology now. In hindsight, I should have gone for the Pro-Core series. The Pro-Core use the new 21700 cells. These are far more robust, charge better, and have better heat characteristics.

Bosch cool pack 5AH battery

In one word BRILLIANT, I have used other makes of power tools, however I always come back to Bosch, everything I now own and use is Bosch professional. I personally rate them ten out of ten! Never had a problem with any Bosch power tool to date highly recommended! Five stars. Superior battery life and power output. !!!

Compact and multi-tool

I can use this battery on all of my Bosch 18V tools. I have various capacities of batteries which I modulate according to my needs and the weight of the tools which I do not wish to exceed. Charging is done on the same chargers that I already had for normal batteries. This compatibility is very pleasant.

Essential for all Bosch lovers. Offering great value, with a good balance between performance and cost. I have 3 of them. Great staying power. Shame Bosch have separate batteries for the garden range (shame on you Bosch!!! - one battery for all and you would sell more stuff)

I'm very satisfied with the product, which is of professional Bosch quality (blue)

It's a Bosch product for machines equipped with 10.8 and 12V batteries. Despite the fact that the machine's original battery was a 10.8V, both are compatible in terms of the machines and the chargers. I ordered this battery to replace one of my 2Ah batteries that died. Since I work in construction, I also ordered a 4Ah battery. Its increased weight doesn't take anything away from how easy it is to handle, and the 4Ah allow me to work for longer before needing to recharge the battery.

Much better than Makita battery

I once bought two fakes for the price of one original. I will not do this again. Bosch has really good batteries. In my experience, if you use Bosch tools, buy genuine 5A or 6A batteries. They are not too heavy and more efficient than 4A and below.

The product is excellent considering the price

I really appreciate this type of vest. You don't need to have a big sweater underneath. You can charge it fully and then decrease the level of heat just enough for it to stay warm but allow for the battery to last for several hours. For increased comfort over time, don't hesitate to purchase one or even two extra batteries, depending on your budget.
