This is by far and away one of the best tools I have bought in years. I regularly use routers, both mains and your average 18v makita trimmers, and this is so handy and comfortable to use. Not got the power of the 18v counterparts, but tbh if you use it how they're intended to be used, you don't need any more power. I've been using it with a 4ah too, so room for a bit more with a 6.The offset collet with the weight over the workpiece will likely become the standard design for trimmers. It's just better.

I like this tool a lot. Just grab it, turn it on and push it away from you (I'm right handed). Designed to fit the hand naturally. Good depth of cut control and excellent spindle lock. With a round over bit in it's my grab and go tool of choice. Need another one for a chamfer bit! I only got 2Ah batteries for it but one lasts long enough to do what I need and then its time to recharge. (And I cannot find the part number for an 8mm collet - Bosch seems to want to keep that a secret).

Great for the project I had, lots of hinges to set, worked extremely well due to the offset, which is why bought it. I am sure I will find further uses for this little gem. One negative so far, it seems a little underpowered but I am comparing it with a normal trim router, time will tell.

Have been using the router for basic edging and hinge rebates. It's very sure footed with a wide base and a good low (if unusual) grip. Also very quiet. Quality also seems a little better than other tools in range but also a little more expensive. Made in Hungary, and I am happy to pay more for it not to be made in China..

Have already used it, and it was ideal for the job. Easy to handle. Easy to change router bits. Everything about the machine was perfect. Would recommend this router to anyone.

Cracking little router

Bought this to replace an elderly 240V budget router that I've used to trim and add details to projects. Build is solid, no flex anywhere. I'm using the 10.8v and 12v 1.5ah batteries and it's fine with those. It happily cut chamfers on solid oak corbels I'm making, though not to load it too much I did these in a couple of passes If anything, it could do with a little light above the cutter, but not the end of the world. Perfect for what I require..

Light and fast edging router with plenty of power.

A versatile and lightweight tool that does a great job of cutting bevels in very manageable and ergonomic way. Tool changes are easy and the various safety features are much appreciated. Height adjustment is precise and can be locked so that consistent results can be achieved. A great addition to my workshop.

Screwfix stafford, bosch route

Having commercially used bosch routers for the last three years I have been impressed with the bosch 12v cordless. After the sad passing of my old 12v bosch router, and a small, socially distanced funeral. I dropped its lifeless corpse in the skip.I had a look for a new one and was impressed with the price of the screwfix range .I ordered it in store at plumbfix counter and as usual it was here in a few days .Unfortunately through no fault of screwfix it was faulty out of the box . So Ruth at Stafford plumbfix ordered me another that arrived in super quick time.Great service from screwfix yet again. Now-a-days a lot of cordless tools are in the 18v plus sort of power range, it would be easy to not consider this one because it uses Bosch's 12v batteries.However, if we think of 12v now being close to old 14 or 18v Ni-cad, in regards to having ample power for doing edges grooves etc. in wood, then it really does. It performs very well and is so light and easy to use.Handling wise to its surprising, the black rubber overlay part is where your hand rests, and if you look at the picture and see the flat top part of black overlay, that's where the palm part of your hand sits, and the fingers wrap around towards the front of the router, with your thumb sitting close to the power button.It is super handy ... MoreThis router surprises with both its power and its handling. First of all, I have a lot of these Bosch 10.8V/12V tools and they've been great. Unfortunately, this one I had to return to Bosch for repair after its first use. I did a small job with it, placed it on my tool chest, did something else then managed to knock it off my tool chest approx. 3'. The ON/OFF switch broke, it had collapsed inwards so couldn't operate switch. Pretty dissapointed in its robustness. Anyway, got it collected on the second attempt and took approx. two weeks to get it back.In the short time I've used it, it eats batteries. I'd say it is pretty limited to small cuts. Fortunately I have the 600 and the big 2000Watt Bosch routers to take care of the bigger cuts.
