Those with a Bose soundbar know the limitations but likely accept this for the convenience and decent surround sound that it offers. Like other big corp products, you pay for the name but also for the ability to install a soundbar, subwoofer and satellite speakers with virtually no complicated wiring or setup hassle. After I had purchased the 300 Soundtouch soundbar and 700 subwoofer about 2 years ago, I knew the rear surround sound dimension was missing and planned to eventually buy the speakers to remedy this. They did exactly that. The two surround speakers plug into an adapter box each and then into the wall separately. Then connect via Bluetooth to the rest of your Bose system. These little speakers add a perfect extra dimension to complete the 5.1 surround sound spectrum. My only cons with Bose is the bloated cost and lack of audio tuning, or equalization. However for me, this Bose package is installed in a room where I would never otherwise use surround sound. The purchase choice was for the discreet design and brand reliability, not the overall features.

I will start off with that I don’t agree on the price because they are just rear speakers. I currently own the Bose Smart soundbar 300 and it sounds amazing just by itself. Now when I added the rear speakers it changed the game completely. It sounds so much better with these. The best way to describe it is you get full 360 sound. The details and surround sound is just amazing and there is no way I could go back with just my soundbar itself. These surround speakers are meant to be close behind you so I wouldn’t put them to far back behind you if you have a large room.

Hi there, These speakers are extremely well built. These fit to my Bose Soundbar 900 flawlessly. To cut confusion here, these speakers are connected wirelessly to the SoundBar, however, they still need to be hard wired with their power/amp units, and those units (they are like our laptop power adapter units) are plugged into the wall adapters. Now for Sound, it's great sound which is achieved without hardwiring your soundbar to these speakers, clear the clutter, hence I do really love them. I got the OpenBox in dollars 100 less, which was a grab for me. These speakers add another dimensions to the music especially when you sit >25 feet distance from TV and SoundBar. I watched Tomorrow War and Transformers age of extinction and they sound phenomenal!! I can NOT ask ... MoreHi there, These speakers are extremely well built. Now to note that, I don't use any kind of subwoofer to support bass, however, I am extremely satisfied. These little speakers can be turned off and can set volume level from the Bose Music App. You get them, try them, you will definitely love them! Give them some time and try different volume levels, Genres, 5.1, Dolby Atmos etc and set the volume level best to your suite, especially, when everybody sleeps at night, test when it's quiet! You will be amazed by these little speakers!!

A good to have option. I have these as add on to my Sound bar 900. Although sound bar itself produces amazing ATMOS, adding these satellites will elevate experience to the next level. They work exactly the way they’re described on Bose website. The only downside I see is way too much wiring for a speaker of this size. The adapters are bigger than speakers themselves and Bose stand is way too expensive.Consider buying these if you have deep pockets to get a Bose stand or get them installed to the rear wall with brackets
I have now 3 Bose sound bars, all with Subs and surround speakers. I tried and had others, gave away or returned (like 990B).I have (each setup), all are smart, as I use Alexa on all.Bose 500 sound bar with 500 sub and surround (let’s say 500, due to Bose does not give these a number) speakersBose Smart 700 sound bar with 700 Sub and surround (let’s say 500, due to Bose does not give these a number) speakersBose smart 900 sound bar with 700 sub and 700 rear speakersI like all the Bose rear speakers, the 700’s are just so small, I could not believe how small they are and sound as good as the much bigger surround (500) speakers, not that the surround (500) speakers are big in any way.Do the 700 surround sound better than the other, I have to say no, ... MoreI have now 3 Bose sound bars, all with Subs and surround speakers. I love the glass tops of both and with the 700 sub’s and either surround speaker types, the 700 or 900 is stunning in sound quality.I have played a bunch of movies with Atmos and both sound just about identical, that’s how good the 700 is even without Atmos.I highly recommend Bose to all, you do get what you pay for.
We purchased these after being blown away at the difference the Bose Soundbar 300 & Subwoofer 500 made when compared to our $300 Samsung soundbar. We could barely hear sound from these. The occasional car driving past, the occasional explosion, etc... But no consistent sound, even when listening to music. The speakers would cut in and out and crackled, even though we'd checked that the wires were hooked up properly. We get better sound out of the kids $20 bluetooth speaker set. We returned these, hoping to exchange to see if it was an isolated issue with that set of speakers, but they had no more in stock. We probably won't try another set now.We did find these easy to set up and pair to the app. The look was sleek and would have been perfect if they had the Bose ... MoreWe purchased these after being blown away at the difference the Bose Soundbar 300 & Subwoofer 500 made when compared to our $300 Samsung soundbar. I didn't realize you would still have to have wire everywhere to go from the transmitter to the speaker. Even my old system didn't use this. The transmitter plugged into the sound bar. In addition, there are no brackets to install these surround speakers on the wall and as far as I can tell there are none available for them. If someone doesn't have a table nearby does that mean they should just put them on the floor? Or go buy a wooden bracket? There is nothing on these surround speakers that identifies what model they are so when searching for brackets if you type in surround speakers, you get about a hundred models. Even my old system didn't use these transmitters, and they had a simple way to mount them to the wall. When I bought the Bose Soundbar 500 and Subwoofer 500 a few years ago, I used it mostly for listening to music, TV programs and watching the odd Bluray disc (I watch all my bluray movies on a different sound system in another room). Now with Netflix and other streaming services, I am watching more movies online, so I decided to add the Bose Surround speakers. I was disappointed at the level of sound that I got from the surround speakers. The sound from the surround speakers is very subtle. While I understand that the surround sound is designed to be subtle (this is what Bose technical support told me), it would have been nice to be able to raise and lower the sound level as your preference, but the Bose Music app through which you control the sound levels does not ... MoreWhen I bought the Bose Soundbar 500 and Subwoofer 500 a few years ago, I used it mostly for listening to music, TV programs and watching the odd Bluray disc (I watch all my bluray movies on a different sound system in another room). While I understand that the surround sound is designed to be subtle (this is what Bose technical support told me), it would have been nice to be able to raise and lower the sound level as your preference, but the Bose Music app through which you control the sound levels does not give you much flexibility. I have set the rear speaker level to full and yet the sound is very low. While you are able hear the rear tracks, it does not give you a fully immersive experience. When watching Bluray movies or Netflix, the sound is better and I get more of a immersive experience. But overall, it is disappointing. I confirmed with Bose support that I had made all the correct connections and settings. So, I am not sure if the $400 price is worth the level of surround I am getting. If you are only going to watch broadcast TV programs, these speakers will not add anything to your experience. The same applies for listening to music.
I recently purchased the Bose Surround Speakers to add to my home theater setup. I’ve owned the Bose Smart Soundbar 300 for the past year and the speakers operate seamlessly with it through the Bose App. These speakers are not entirely wireless (they need to be plugged into a power source but they connect to the Soundbar through Bluetooth) Setup was easy. I had one minor question that Bose customer service cleared up with some additional helpful information. The basic gist was that the surround experience may not always be noticeable. This is dependent on the signal that different tv channels use and whether a channel is completely up to date on the latest and greatest technology and is not due to a speaker malfunction. I have had no issues with the surround experience when watching movies or watching some stations but others (some news channels) didn’t seem to engage with the surround speakers as well. Overall, these have been great so far. My family enjoys visiting for the full cinematic experience.
work well, sound good, connect fine for me with no clicking or signal drops that other folks report. any percieved clicking may just be the speakers processing sound but it's only noticeable if you put your ear right up to it. don't do that. mount a few feet away, preferably more and elevated and they'll sound fine - wired 5.1 surrounds do the same thing. i like the extra length on the cord allowing you to drop the wires behind the wall for a clean look when mounting to the wall or ceiling. these are overpriced in my opinion, but do add that surround depth to the soundbar and sub very well (bose 600 and bass module 500)
